Chapter 6 – See… You… Now…

Su Ming quickly compared Chi Nian to the Ghost School Belle in his mind.

Both were stunningly beautiful.

However, one belonged to the realm of deathly aberration beauty, while the other was the beauty of a living person.

The former was breathtakingly beautiful, the latter pleasing to the eye.

He coughed lightly twice.

Su Ming opened the door and asked in a weak voice, "Teacher Chi, what brings you here?"

After speaking, he coughed a few more times to indicate that he wasn't feeling well.

"Su Ming, why do you look so pale?"

"Have you been to the hospital?"

Su Ming's complexion was indeed bad.

After dying so many times yesterday, having nightmares at night, and studying with the Ghost School Belle in the afternoon, how could he look well?

"I have," Su Ming continued, "The doctor said it's not a big problem, just need some medicine and rest for a few days."

"So, Teacher Chi, I guess I'll need a few more days off."

As he spoke, Su Ming stepped aside to invite her in.

After all, she had come all this way; he couldn't just let her leave without even stepping inside.

"As long as it's nothing serious."

"You don't need to worry about the leave; I've approved it."

Su Ming was secretly pleased, but his expression remained unchanged as he said, "It's really troublesome for you to come all this way, Teacher Chi."

Chi Nian smoothed her clothes and sat on the sofa, "It's no trouble."

"Even though you're taking a few days off, you can't fall behind on your studies."

"High school is a very important period."

"You must understand, the college entrance examination is the most important choice in life."

"I've seen your grades and understand your family situation."

"Even though your family is well-off, you can't give up on yourself."

Su Ming nodded repeatedly.

The best way to deal with a teacher's nagging was to nod.

Until Chi Nian suggested tutoring Su Ming.

It almost scared Su Ming into strangling Chi Nian on the spot.

After finally managing to send Chi Nian away with much effort, Su Ming breathed a sigh of relief.

She was a good person, enthusiastic about her work, and very responsible for every student.

Hearing he was sick, she came all the way to visit and even offered to tutor him.

From any perspective, she was a responsible and good teacher.

"Strange."

He still felt something was off about Chi Nian, but couldn't pinpoint it.

During their conversation, it seemed like she was intentionally trying to touch him.

Being alone in a room with a woman could easily lead to wild thoughts.

But Su Ming had died too many times yesterday, and really had no interest.

"Seduce me? Impossible."

"Maybe she's just thinking about me too much."

He rubbed his temples, leaned back on the sofa, and took out his phone to scroll through short videos.

As he watched, Su Ming raised an eyebrow.

Yesterday, he had left a message for Mint Candy asking about the Lychee Hotel.

Today, Mint Candy replied.

He immediately opened the chat with Mint Candy.

There were many messages.

Mint Candy said that the online information wasn't accurate.

According to him, the death toll at the Lychee Hotel exceeded a hundred, but it was suppressed by the authorities, fearing too much impact.

"A hundred?"

Su Ming was somewhat shocked, but not surprised.

Death tolls are often underreported, trying to keep the number below 10.

A death toll below 10 is considered a major accident.

Once it exceeds 10, it's a significant or catastrophic accident.

Such things, once public, can affect some people's careers.

Of course, unless the situation becomes uncontrollable by the media.

He continued reading.

Mint Candy said that after the Lychee Hotel's initial hype died down, they planned to renovate and reopen, but several workers mysteriously died.

The surviving workers claimed they saw ghosts.

The boss was probably scared too, so he decided to sell it.

After the hotel was sold, several workers died during demolition.

Those workers died in a terrifying manner, burned into charred corpses.

Yet at the time, there was no fire.

This matter was still suppressed and not made public.

Who knew, several more murders occurred one after another.

Falling to death, sudden death, bodies intact but determined to have died from asphyxiation and dehydration.

In any case, the deaths were very bizarre.

So, the half-demolished Lychee Hotel halted construction.

And it has remained halted until now.

Mint Candy also sent a few photos.

From the photos, it was clear that the Lychee Hotel was surrounded by walls, overgrown with weeds, looking very desolate.

And the entrance of the Lychee Hotel, though dilapidated, gave Su Ming a very ominous feeling.

Mint Candy said that initially, there were no walls, just billboards blocking it.

Then a few fearless outdoor streamers insisted on exploring.

A live stream accident occurred, and many viewers saw a fleeting shadow in the live footage.

Moreover, the streamer's death was very horrifying.

He seemed to have seen something, fleeing in panic, yet kept wandering inside the hotel, finally jumping from the building.

Fortunately, the streamer didn't have many fans, so it was suppressed by the authorities.

Su Ming typed, "How do you know so much?"

Such things, the average person wouldn't know, right?

Su Ming even suspected he was making up stories.

Mint Candy replied quickly this time.

He said he was one of the workers renovating the hotel at the time and had seen ghosts with his own eyes.

The reason he told Su Ming all this was because everyone around him thought he was crazy, and no one believed him.

So he spoke online to prove that ghosts really exist, and he wasn't crazy.

"There are ghosts in this world, many ghosts, death is everywhere."

"Can you be sure that everyone you meet today is alive?"

"And I just want to tell everyone the truth."

"Maybe tomorrow I'll be killed by them."

"Maybe tonight, I'll die."

These were Mint Candy's exact words.

The thought was chilling.

Especially the part about whether everyone you meet today is alive.

Could it be that there are many ghosts in reality too?

He curiously asked Mint Candy, "Where are you?"

After waiting for a long time, there was no reply from Mint Candy.

Just as Su Ming was about to give up, the other party sent a video call.

Su Ming hesitated for a few seconds before choosing to answer.

He was very curious about Mint Candy's identity.

A man who looked to be in his forties appeared in the video.

His skin was dark, his body thin and emaciated, his cheeks sunken as if he had been tormented for a long time.

Before Su Ming could ask, he suddenly grabbed his own neck.

With such force that within seconds, his eyes bulged and were filled with dense red blood vessels.

It was as if an invisible force was controlling him.

He tried to say something, but only blood foam came out of his throat.

At the seventeenth second, his eyes lost their light, and he fell to the ground with a thud, unresponsive.

Su Ming was stunned.

What the hell are you doing?

A few seconds later, Su Ming heard a thumping sound in the video.

As he strained to listen.

A bizarre head peeked down from the top of the video.

It was a ghastly, terrifying human face.

It grinned menacingly at Su Ming, and a voice came from the video, "See...you..."

It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from "pawread.com".

But Su Ming's reaction wasn't as big as expected.

He even raised a middle finger and cursed, "Damn, you're really ugly, hurting my eyes."

This was Su Ming's honest opinion.

Everyone's a ghost.

The Ghost School Belle is so beautiful, how can you be so ugly?

Completely lowering the average appearance of the ghost world.

He took another glance.

Damn, it's really too ugly.

He couldn't stand it.

With a snap, he hung up the call.

The call was hung up.

But what now?

He just found out about ghosts yesterday, and today he's being targeted by one.

Life is getting more and more thrilling.

However, this ghost seemed normal.

It seemed to want to take his life.

Good.

Finally met a proper ghost.

Su Ming snorted coldly, immediately activated Interaction, entered the classroom, and with a swift slide, hugged the Ghost School Belle's leg.

"School Belle, save me!"

"A ghost wants to kill me."

The Ghost School Belle looked down at Su Ming, who was clinging to her leg, her pure black eyes flashing with a hint of confusion.

Su Ming looked up at the Ghost School Belle, bewildered.

He had only one thought.

Why is her favorability getting easier to increase?
