Chapter 6 – Gamma Grade

On the high platform.

"Truly extraordinary, perhaps the best I've seen in my life."

Xue Jing, still in his patched robe, twirled his long beard with a glimmer in his eyes.

He wasn't surprised by Ying Bing's Alpha High bone structure.

"Is this the promising talent you mentioned meeting on your way down the mountain?"

A lazy voice sounded not far away.

A woman in palace attire, cheeks flushed, leaned lazily against a chair.

"Yes, it's her. But I wonder how far she can go on the Heaven-Climbing Stone Steps."

Xue Jing glanced at the woman, his eyes showing helplessness.

"I like this girl."

The woman in palace attire took a bold sip of wine.

The elders: "......"

Are you sure it's not because she's stunningly beautiful?

"She's not suited for the martial arts of your lineage."

Xue Jing said helplessly.

"Why not!" The woman in palace attire raised her eyebrows.

"What are you fussing about? You've trained yourself into a furnace. This girl doesn't seem fit to be under your tutelage."

A slightly cold voice spoke.

"Han He, are you looking for a fight?"

The woman in palace attire clenched her fists, eager to try.

Elder Han He instinctively stepped back half a step, letting out a wary snort.

"Calm down, everyone."

The voice was full of authority.

The Sect Master spoke, and only then did the woman in palace attire reluctantly pick up her wine gourd and take a few more sips.

The elders exchanged glances.

Could it be that the Sect Master is interested in that young girl?

***

Unknowingly, another stick of incense time passed.

During this time, over five hundred people underwent bone reading.

Finally, it was Li Mo's turn.

The Old Woman grabbed his shoulder, immediately feeling a force surge in, ready to flow through his meridians.

But soon, the force disappeared.

Hmm?

The Old Woman across from him frowned for the second time.

Inner breath can stimulate a person's internal organs and even their meridians and bones.

The better the bones, the stronger the reaction to this stimulation.

But.

The boy's body showed no reaction.

If that were all, it would be fine, but her inner breath vanished like a stone sinking into the sea.

If she hadn't seen the boy standing alive in front of her, she would have thought he was a stone.

The Old Woman hesitated for a moment but still wrote down his name:

"Li Mo, Gamma Grade, move along."

"Thank you."

Li Mo had anticipated this and cupped his hands towards the Old Woman.

He then passed through the mountain gate with a calm demeanor.

"Sigh, Gamma Grade, Dad won't be happy. When the time comes, you have to speak for me. Your words carry weight with Dad."

Li Mo laughed heartily, nudging the girl beside him with his shoulder.

Ying Bing was slightly surprised.

Gamma Grade aptitude, not much different from her memory.

But he didn't seem disappointed.

Li Mo remained nonchalant, his cheerfulness unchanged: "Three parts fate, seven parts hard work. Many people can't even enter the mountain gate. I'm already very lucky."

There was one more thing he didn't say.

Why worry? I've got a cheat.

Ying Bing looked at the boy's carefree demeanor, which didn't seem fake.

Oh well.

After all, his bottle of Pure Yang Pill helped her open her meridians early, saving her six months.

This mindset is worth a little help; how far he can go depends on him.

Just then.

Not far away, a steward's announcement caught everyone's attention again:

"Wang Hu, tiger arms and leopard waist, Beta Mid!"

The crowd erupted in commotion.

Apart from the two Alpha-grade prodigies.

Wang Hu was already the most talented!

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he was one in ten thousand.

Enjoying the compliments from those around him, Wang Hu smiled arrogantly, casting a glance at the crowd.

"What are you looking at?"

Li Mo fell into thought.

***

At this moment.

A figure landed in front of the mountain gate.

"Tiger and leopard form?"

A middle-aged man like an iron tower reached out and grabbed Wang Hu's shoulder.

Wang Hu was startled, but then saw his cousin step out from the disciples and give him a signal.

"Not bad, indeed tiger arms and leopard waist."

The iron tower middle-aged man smiled with satisfaction.

"Master, this is my cousin." Wang Hao respectfully saluted.

"Not bad, not bad, he's more suited to practice my Thunder-Hand of Tiger and Leopard."

His booming laughter was ear-piercing.

"Futu, wait until he enters the Inner Sect before you take him as a disciple."

The Short Fat Elder frowned and reminded.

Futu?

Wang Hu was momentarily stunned, then overjoyed.

This was a very powerful Inner Sect Steward. If not for the limited elder positions, he would have been in charge of a peak long ago.

"Heh heh heh, I'm aware of the rules."

Futu cupped his hands indifferently.

Under his cousin's signal, Wang Hu quickly paid his respects: "Greetings, Master."

"First, pass the Heaven-Climbing Stone Steps."

Futu didn't correct the title.

After Futu left.

Wang Hu raised his head higher, almost as if he wanted to write 'arrogant' on his forehead.

Passing through the mountain gate, he walked straight over, confidently cupping his fists:"Miss Ying, we will be fellow disciples from now on."

And then, he was met with indifference.

Such talent might be passable in a small place like Ziyang Prefecture.

In Ying Bing's eyes, Wang Hu's Beta Grade and Li Mo's Gamma Grade were essentially the same.

Both were just stones; why bother comparing which was smoother?

Wang Hu was left standing awkwardly, his face turning red.

He could only turn to Li Mo: "Heh, we're from the same hometown. When I rise to prominence, I won't forget you.

We are "pawread.com", find us on google.

And maybe, in a few days, I'll be a True Disciple.

Seeing you would be less convenient than seeing Miss Ying, right?"

His smile was malicious.

With an Inner Sect Steward as his backing.

Young and arrogant, Wang Hu's ego was inflating rapidly.

Several young men and women from Ning'an County looked frustrated but couldn't act. Wang Hu was already arrogant enough in the county, and now he was rising rapidly.

They originally didn't have a good impression of Li Mo, but compared to Wang Hu, they found the former a bit more likable.

"....Ah, right, right."

Li Mo's Divine Fate Eye had never been closed.

Since Wang Hu's bone structure was assessed, his originally blue fate began to show a hint of black.

When he was showing off just now, the black deepened.

Even the evaluation changed to: "Stubborn and self-opinionated, unaware of being used as a test subject by Inner Sect Steward Futu, with a bleak future."

He didn't like to argue with idiots, let alone with someone half-dead.

Another round of indifference.

"You!"

Wang Hu was choked with anger, a nameless fire rising in his heart.

However, the Short Fat Elder seemed to notice this side.

He withdrew his gaze from Li Mo and Ying Bing, sneering inwardly: "Time will tell.

After all, the difference between Outer Sect and True Disciple is vast; they can't be compared."
