Chapter 11 – Ethan's Gambit

After understanding the whole story, Natasha was at a loss for words and complained, "Do rich people think differently from us? This is the Middle East, the most chaotic place with the most terrorists, and he dares to stray from the military? Walk alone? Has he never faced death before?"

"Who knows? Anyway, our task now is to search for Tony's whereabouts," Hawkeye said helplessly, feeling the scorching weather.

The Middle East is so vast, who knows where Tony has been taken? Where should they even start looking? And with so many terrorist groups, who knows which one kidnapped Tony?

Fortunately, they don't have to search on their own; they just need to narrow down a predetermined area. According to military clues, the weapons used in the attack were manufactured by Stark Industries.

However, on the Middle Eastern battlefield, many terrorists use hot weapons that basically belong to Stark Industries.

This undoubtedly adds to the difficulty of their search.

In the Middle East, there are quite a few terrorists using weapons made by Stark Industries. This region has essentially become a place for major powers to play their games.

Otherwise, where do you think all these wars come from? Do you really think the United Nations is just for show? If someone wants to start a war, all the countries in the UN would definitely join forces to oppose it.

So, keeping all the wars confined to one area is beneficial for the world.

The Middle East is always chaotic.

"Anyway, I want to act alone," Natasha shrugged. With Yang Han by her side, she had to ensure Yang Han wouldn't be exposed. With Yang Han around, they could basically roam freely in the Middle East.

"Act alone? Are you sure? This isn't like other missions where you can easily handle it solo," Hawkeye said. This time, they were looking for someone, and the Middle East is so vast, they mainly rely on high-tech to find Tony's whereabouts.

Then, it would be their turn to secretly infiltrate and rescue Tony.

"I have my own plans," Natasha said calmly.

"Alright. Since you're insistent," Hawkeye shrugged. As a colleague, he had said enough. Since she didn't appreciate it, he didn't want to waste his breath.

After leaving the meeting room, Natasha asked softly, "Are you confident?"

Yang Han replied quietly, "Don't worry. As long as you get close, I'll naturally sense it. Look for places with valleys; there's a higher chance people are hidden there."

In Yang Han's memory, Tony should have been taken to Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is in the Northern Hemisphere, located in the southwestern corner of China's Tibet province, bordering Pakistan and Iran. It's a landlocked country. According to Yang Han's understanding, the mountainous areas in Afghanistan are concentrated in the central and southeastern regions, near the Himalayas, with deserts in the southwest.

In the storyline, the valley where Tony was held had camouflage covering the weapons, making them nearly invisible from above.

However, Yang Han couldn't directly say where Tony was. He wasn't a fool and wouldn't do something that would cause chaos.

"Valley? Why?" Natasha frowned. Why a valley and not somewhere else?

Yang Han paused for a moment, then said disdainfully, "And you call yourself an agent? Ever heard of camouflage? Valleys are the easiest places to hide people. With camouflage nets, can planes see from above?"

Natasha felt embarrassed and laughed awkwardly. Well, she had just asked instinctively. Who knew this alien creature knew so much, making her feel like she knew nothing.

However, as Yang Han suggested, the possibility was high. Natasha began searching for maps of valleys. The mountainous areas in the Middle East are mainly in Afghanistan, with few elsewhere.

Even Natasha didn't know why she trusted Yang Han so much. If they got it wrong, rescuing Tony would become increasingly difficult.

The chances of survival would become slimmer.

But she still started searching the valley areas as Yang Han directed.

Meanwhile, in a certain valley.

This valley wasn't very long, with barren mountains on both sides and scattered rocks in the middle. At the bottom, there were piles of ammunition and supplies, all painted with the words "Stark Industries."

Above the ammunition, military camouflage nets were draped, effectively concealing any anomalies in the valley from above, blending seamlessly with the surrounding mountains. About a hundred soldiers armed with rifles and submachine guns were busy.

A bearded man walked out from under a tent, where the entrance to a cave was hidden. This was where Tony was being held.

"Finally caught that damn Tony Stark. These arms dealers dare to sell such powerful weapons to those guys. We need him to make weapons for us too."

The bearded man cursed as he walked toward the cave entrance.

At the entrance, the bearded man shouted, "Tony has shrapnel in his body. I need you to perform surgery to remove it!"

Standing before the bearded man was a tall, thin man in a suit and glasses. After the bearded man finished speaking, the man nodded and took a set of surgical tools from another soldier.

After the bearded man left, the man glanced around at the two soldiers at the entrance, then turned and walked into the cave. Yinsen smiled and said something to the soldiers.

"Damn guys, hope you get shot by the Americans tomorrow."

The two soldiers, being Afghans, spoke their native language and didn't understand English. But seeing the man smiling, they thought he was conveying goodwill and patted him on the shoulder with a smile.

"These guys are crazy, daring to kidnap Tony Stark. If the U.S. military finds this place, they'll probably die miserably. God, I'm about to treat Stark. Please watch over us," Yinsen muttered as he walked into the cave.

In such a rudimentary and unsanitary medical environment, Yinsen could only pray that Tony Stark would survive. He was just doing his best and leaving the rest to fate.

He could only do what he had to do. Whether Tony survived depended on his will to live.

If he couldn't be saved, it would only prove that Tony was meant to die, and no one could save him.

However, as one of the protagonists of the Marvel Universe, Tony had strong luck. As long as he didn't do anything too reckless, he wouldn't die.

And the range of not being reckless was basically not blowing himself up with a nuclear bomb.

Of course, even blowing himself up with a nuclear bomb might be fine.

After the surgery, Tony soon woke up groggily.
