Chapter 2 – Explain why you forcibly kissed me

"Bastard!"

Bai Ruxue snapped back to reality, just about to reprimand Su Jue, only to find him already collapsed in her arms, lifeless!

"This rebellious disciple!"

He had actually stolen a kiss from her!

Bai Ruxue was so furious her gums itched. On the Vast Land, who didn't know that Bai Ruxue despised male cultivators and had no interest in them whatsoever?

She was born with a single-minded devotion to the Sword Dao. Ever since she became the Sword Immortal Empress, Bai Ruxue's fame had only grown, and no one dared to come within three feet of her.

Let alone being kissed forcefully, she had never even had physical contact with anyone. This showed that Bai Ruxue was a strong woman who had been single since birth.

"Who knows if what he said is true? Likes me?

Love arises from nowhere, and grows deeper and deeper. Quite poetic indeed.

Would someone as cold and unreasonable as me really be liked?"

Bai Ruxue's expression turned extremely complex.

Su Jue had been by her side for ten years and didn't seem like the kind of person who would deceive her.

What he said was most likely true!

Thinking of this, Bai Ruxue inexplicably felt a bit shy.

"You think you can just die after stealing a kiss from me? You're thinking too much."

With a flip of her jade-like hand, a crystal-clear green sapling appeared in her palm.

In an instant, the withered trees around them began to burst with life.

Centered around Bai Ruxue, the dry ground started to sprout green grass and beautiful flowers.

It was the end of autumn, yet it now looked like spring was in full bloom, as if spring had arrived!

The Life Tree!

It's said to be an immortal-grade herb, capable of pulling someone back from the brink of death, no matter how severe the injury, as long as they haven't been dead for more than a quarter of an hour.

Such a precious herb would definitely be a treasure fought over by all the major sects and clans in the Central Continent!

With a wave of Bai Ruxue's jade hand, the Life Tree transformed into a wisp of energy and entered Su Jue's forehead.

In the next second, the wound on Su Jue's chest began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye.

In just a few seconds, apart from the hole and bloodstains on his clothes, there was no trace of his body ever being pierced by a sword!

Who knows how much time passed.

Su Jue slowly regained consciousness, feeling the abundant vitality within him, a stark contrast to the brink of death he had been on.

"Okay, the script belonging to this young master has officially begun!"

Su Jue leaped up energetically, his heart filled with excitement.

Ten years of honing a sword, today he finally achieved his goal!!!

Though reluctant to leave his master, one must look forward. The past won't return, and he must cherish the present, forging his own path as Dragon Ao Tian!

"Oh-ka? What does that mean?"

A puzzled voice came.

"Hmm? Where's that voice coming from?"

Su Jue found the voice somewhat familiar. He looked towards the source and saw an exceptionally beautiful woman staring at him with a half-smile.

"I know I miss my master, but there's no need for hallucinations, right?"

Su Jue smacked his lips, completely refusing to believe he hadn't been reborn.

Otherwise, how could someone who had already died be brought back to life?

"How much do you miss me?"

Bai Ruxue asked.

"Holy crap, alive?"

Su Jue was stunned when he heard Bai Ruxue continue to ask. He wasn't stupid; no hallucination could be this clear.

"You've got quite the nerve, Su Jue, to steal a kiss from me!"

Bai Ruxue crossed her arms and glared at Su Jue.

"I'm not dead?"

Su Jue's eyelid twitched as he incredulously looked at his chest, finding the wound had vanished.

The only evidence of his injury was the bloodstains and hole in his clothes.

"Explain yourself. Why did you steal a kiss from me? Didn't you say you liked me? If you don't give a satisfactory explanation, you really will die!"

Bai Ruxue said calmly.

[Ding, trigger choice.]

[1. Admit you like her, pursue your master, unknown reward upon success.]

[2. Make up a reason, continue as master and disciple, reward Celestial Sword Technique, Canglan Sword upon success.]

[3. Leave your master, wander as an independent cultivator, reward Sword King Legacy.]

[Note: Choices can be made or not, with no compulsion.]

System?

Su Jue wasn't foolish; he quickly adapted.

After briefly reviewing the three choices, Su Jue made up his mind in just a second.

"There's nothing I can't admit. I do like my master."

Su Jue took a deep breath. What was initially a desperate act before dying unexpectedly brought him back from the brink of death.

This time, Su Jue wasn't sure if he could be reborn after dying, so now that he was alive, he intended to live well.

Better a live coward than a dead hero, especially since the system had changed from before.

"Rebellious disciple, do you know that liking me is an outrageous act!"

Bai Ruxue's beautiful eyes trembled as she scolded.

Su Jue raised his eyes, "So what?"

Bai Ruxue was taken aback. The young man's clear and bright eyes matched perfectly with the first time they met.

Su Jue said frankly, "Su Jue acts straightforwardly; if I like someone, I admit it. I never hide my feelings!

Others only remember your strength and status. They fear you because of these things, not daring to approach you, respecting you.

But I only remember the gentle eyes you looked at me with, your kindness, and all the good you've done for me.

Though my strength is weak, I promise to practice diligently, and in time, stand by your side, protect you, and become your support!"

His tone was gentle and calm, his expression composed and serene.

Graceful and handsome, elegant and ethereal.

Though the sudden confession and stolen kiss were impulsive acts before death, Su Jue couldn't deny that his master was an exceptionally outstanding woman.

Never having had a Dao partner, immensely powerful, a titan in the Central Continent, the Sword Sect Master, and the revered Sword Immortal Empress.

Such an extraordinary woman, isn't she the best choice for a partner?

It would be a lie to say he wasn't moved. Since the system gave him a chance, he must cherish it.

After all, he didn't die, so he might as well live, right?

He refused to believe he couldn't make a name for himself in this world!

Bai Ruxue's gaze was fixed on the young man before her, momentarily at a loss for words, "Do you know what you're saying, protecting me? Becoming my support?"

"Yes, I know my master stands at the pinnacle of the Central Continent. But I also want to stand by your side, listen to you share, and bear those burdens with you."

Su Jue smiled slightly, his handsome face as radiant as jade.

"How do you want me to punish you? Violating sect rules and harboring improper intentions towards me, you've transgressed both morally and ethically!"

Bai Ruxue coldly looked at Su Jue.

"Though what I said reflects my true feelings, I'm willing to accept any punishment."

Su Jue replied calmly.

"Fine, then go die!"

Bai Ruxue drew her sword, and with a flash of white light, a dazzling sword aura burst forth.

Su Jue didn't dodge, his eyes showing no fear.

He knew that if his master truly wanted to kill him, with her skills, he wouldn't stand a chance.

He might not even know how he died.

The sword aura was blinding, passing less than a millimeter from Su Jue's cheek.

A lock of hair fell from his temple, and Su Jue swallowed hard.

He had brushed past death!
