Chapter 13 – Su Jue: I like the original factory original

The second floor was more spacious, lined with many exquisite and elegant private rooms, and the environment was evidently much better than the first floor.

Su Jue quickly noticed that one of the private rooms had a token with the words "Sword Sect" hanging at the entrance.

Clearly, this was prepared for the Sword Sect.

As soon as the two entered the private room, they were greeted by a refreshing fragrance that lifted their spirits.

Su Jue noticed that there seemed to be a soundproof formation, as the noisy sounds from outside were instantly blocked upon entering.

All the furnishings were made of top-grade Red Spirit Wood, exuding luxury and elegance.

On the table were fresh fruits, fine wine, and Chaoge City's specialty snacks.

Sitting in the seat and looking down at the hall below, there was a sense of being in a high position, looking down from above.

"Greetings, my lords. I am your maidservant, Xiao Qing. If you need anything, please instruct me."

A maid with a delicate face and a curvaceous figure walked in, respectfully addressing the two.

The moment the maid entered, she noticed Su Jue.

Seeing Su Jue's handsome appearance and knowing he was a prodigy from the Sword Sect, the maid's heart fluttered, and she intentionally bent towards Su Jue.

With a good view and the maid's somewhat revealing cheongsam, Su Jue could clearly see a hint of snow-white at her chest.

However, Su Jue's gaze remained calm as water.

He said blandly, "Leave us. We'll call you if needed."

"Young master, Xiao Qing is required to stay in the private room."

The maid lightly pursed her red lips, looking at Su Jue with a somewhat aggrieved expression, appearing pitiful.

"Leave."

Su Jue repeated indifferently.

"Yes, young master."

The maid, seeing Su Jue's indifferent expression, stiffened her pretty face and had to retreat.

"Junior Brother Su Jue, why not keep her?"

An Ke asked curiously. Rumor had it that Su Jue was a philanderer, and wasn't this exactly what philanderers liked?

Su Jue chuckled and said, "I'm not interested in her."

This wasn't a pretense; surrounded by beauties of his master's caliber, he had long developed immunity to beauties.

Moreover, sitting beside him was a real troublemaker, making him even less interested in the coquettish Xiao Qing.

"Why?" An Ke wondered. Don't all men like this kind of thing?

Su Jue smiled and said, "I prefer the original and unmodified."

"Huh?"

An Ke scratched her head, not understanding what Su Jue meant at all.

The statement left her brain in a daze.

"Don't understand?"

"Uh-huh, can you explain?"

"No."

"Okay..."

An Ke pouted helplessly.

Su Jue chuckled, "Not teasing you anymore. Didn't Senior Sister An Ke notice the calluses on her hands?"

This Xiao Qing wasn't simple.

When she bent over just now, Su Jue's gaze wasn't drawn to the snow-white, but rather to the calluses on Xiao Qing's jade-like hands.

As a decorative maid, how could she have calluses on her hands? That was absolutely not allowed.

There was only one possibility: she was concealing her true skills.

Possessing strength, yet pretending to be soft and charming to lower their guard and monitor them.

"Calluses? That maid doesn't look like someone who would have calluses."

An Ke scratched her head.

"That's why she's not a normal maid. It's very likely she's sent by the Eldest Princess to monitor us."

"And her strength isn't low, at least above the Golden Elixir Realm, and she possesses a treasure to hide her aura."

Su Jue glanced outside the curtain, speaking these words to An Ke through sound transmission.

Who knew if there were ears listening through the walls?

"Is that possible?"

An Ke's bright eyes widened in surprise; she hadn't thought of that layer at all.

Xiao Qing's appearance was too deceptive, making it hard to associate her with being an expert.

"Apart from the calluses, the second knuckle of all her right-hand fingers is noticeably thicker than the thumb knuckle of her left hand."

"That's the muscle group left from practicing swordsmanship."

"Don't believe me? Check your own hands, Senior Sister."

Having dealt with swords for ten years, Su Jue knew all too well what long-term sword practice could do to a person.

Not to mention An Ke, even he himself had thicker knuckles on his sword-wielding hand.

"That's true."

An Ke compared her two fair and slender hands, and indeed, her right hand was slightly thicker than her left.

If not observed carefully, it was hard to notice.

"And this can be tested easily."

Su Jue smiled mysteriously and called out, "Xiao Qing."

As soon as Su Jue spoke, Xiao Qing, who was sticking to the wall outside, immediately walked in.

Seeing Su Jue's smiling face, she thought he was charmed by her allure.

Xiao Qing smiled confidently.

Stupid man, wasn't he just charmed by her appearance?

He just had to put on a show.

"What can I do for you, young master?"

She blinked at Su Jue, asking with seductive eyes.

"Could you make me a cup of tea?"

Su Jue smiled.

Xiao Qing naturally replied, "Young master, we don't have tea at the tavern, only wine. How about I pour you a glass of wine?"

Su Jue glanced at the dark purple wine bottle and pointed to the fruits on the table, "Forget it, peel me a banana instead."

"Alright."

Xiao Qing's expression changed slightly, sensing that she might be exposed, but this time she had no reason to refuse.

When reaching for the banana, her slender fingers slightly curled, and just as she was about to touch the banana, she grasped it.

While peeling, she only used her index finger and thumb, with the other three fingers resting on her palm.

The movements were smooth and seamless, perfectly concealed.

However, An Ke, who was mentally prepared, watched closely from the side.

Not only did she notice the problem, but she also caught Xiao Qing's split-second micro-expression.

Although the little girl seemed gentle and introverted, her intelligence was not low, and it seemed Su Jue's guess was quite accurate.

"Thank you, you may leave now."

Su Jue knew that was enough. When he took the banana, he deliberately brushed Xiao Qing's palm.

Xiao Qing noticed Su Jue's action and wanted to withdraw her hand, but unfortunately, she was fast, and Su Jue was faster, allowing him to touch her.

"Young master, I sell my skills, not my body. How can you take advantage of me?"

Xiao Qing, to cover her panic, quickly cast a shy glance at Su Jue.

"Blame it on your beauty," Su Jue said with a smile.

"Then I'll take my leave. Call me if you need anything."

Xiao Qing gave a charming smile and swayed her slender waist as she walked out.

As soon as she stepped out the door, Xiao Qing's expression turned cold.

Damn, it seems I've been discovered.

These men from the Sword Sect are so perceptive!

No, I must inform the princess about this.

With that thought, Xiao Qing took a path through the blind spots of the private rooms, heading deeper into the tavern.

"Did you see clearly this time?"

Su Jue looked at An Ke beside him.

He found An Ke looking at him with a gaze full of admiration, "Wow, Junior Brother Su Jue, your observation skills are amazing."

If it weren't for Su Jue's reminder, she would never have noticed. The disguise was too perfect.

"......"

Su Jue suddenly realized that his senior sister's pure and adorable nature seemed to come at the cost of a missing brain cell.
