Chapter 16 – Level 2 Monster

Thinking about it, he acted...

Chen Mo sacrificed a bit of energy again, and soon a prompt sounded in his mind.

"Sacrifice successful! Congratulations, you've obtained a Small Mana Potion *1."

"Mana Potion!?"

Chen Mo looked at the bottle filled with blue liquid in his hand.

[Small Mana Potion]: Restores 10 mana per second for 10 seconds after use, with a 30-second cooldown.

"So it's for restoring mana," Chen Mo nodded.

This thing would have been useless before, but now that he has skills, it's still useful. Better keep it for now.

Continue sacrificing...

"Sacrifice successful! Congratulations, you've obtained Purified Water *1."

As the voice fell, Chen Mo felt a weight in his hand and saw a 5-liter jug of water appear.

Looking at the Purified Water in his hand, Chen Mo fell silent.

Holding onto a sliver of hope, he checked the description of the Purified Water.

[Purified Water]: Replenishes the body's necessary hydration.

Well, that last bit of hope was finally dashed.

It's just a regular bottle of mineral water.

It seems that for the same 1 point of energy, the value of the items can vary greatly.

But then again, value depends on how you define it.

For someone dying of thirst, this jug of water is more important than anything.

Chen Mo had a pretty good attitude. Although a bit disappointed, he quickly accepted it.

He opened the cap and took a few big gulps of the Purified Water.

To be honest, after eating the roast chicken, he was quite thirsty, so the water came at the perfect time.

After drinking the water, he continued to sacrifice...

"Sacrifice successful! Congratulations, you've obtained Level 1 Common Equipment *1."

"Equipment drop!?" Chen Mo's eyes lit up, and he immediately looked at his hand.

A rusted ring appeared in his hand, and Chen Mo quickly checked it.

[Rusted Ring]

Quality: Common.

Physical Attack +2

Physical Defense +1

Requirement: Level 1

Compared to the dagger in his hand, the ring's attributes were a bit lacking, but having it was better than nothing.

Chen Mo immediately put the ring on.

In the Divine Path Game, equipment seems to automatically adjust to fit each person's size, and the ring fit perfectly on his hand.

In Divine Path, you can wear one ring and one bracelet on each hand.

You can wear more if you want, but only one will be effective on each hand, the others are just for decoration.

Seeing the increase in attributes, Chen Mo smiled.

Continue sacrificing, he must draw out some attribute points.

"Sacrifice successful! Congratulations, you've obtained a Small Red Potion *1."

Chen Mo had used the Red Potion before, so he knew its effect and quickly stored it away.

With only two points of energy left, Chen Mo gritted his teeth and continued to sacrifice.

He had to learn this skill book today.

Fortunately, Lady Luck finally smiled upon him.

"Sacrifice successful! Congratulations, you've obtained a Free Attribute Point *1."

"Whew, finally got it."

Chen Mo let out a sigh of relief, he was really worried he'd run out of energy without getting it.

Holding a skill book but unable to learn it, that feeling was just too frustrating.

Luckily, it finally came through.

Without any hesitation, Chen Mo decisively added the attribute point to Strength, bringing it to 10 points, and with the dagger and ring, his attack power soared to 32 points.

If others knew about this attack power, it would probably scare them to death.

Then, Chen Mo picked up the skill book and murmured, "Learn!"

As soon as he spoke, the skill book in his hand turned into light and merged into his body.

Chen Mo immediately checked his status, and sure enough, there was a new white skill in his skill bar, Sword Qi Slash!

Before Level 10 class advancement, everyone can learn up to three skills.

But judging by the game's skill drop rate, learning even one skill before class advancement is good enough.

After class advancement, you can automatically learn a class-exclusive skill, but other skills still have to be earned by yourself.

So, skills are always in short supply.

"I've wasted enough time, need to get back to killing monsters and test this skill's power!" Chen Mo murmured.

Then, he tucked the two recovery potions into his pocket, picked up the jug of Purified Water, and continued forward.

Without storage equipment, he could only carry it himself.

"I need to find a way to get some storage equipment," Chen Mo thought to himself.

After walking for a while, Chen Mo spotted two zombies wandering not far away.

Chen Mo placed the Purified Water on the ground and walked directly towards the two zombies.

Soon, the two zombies noticed him and charged at him immediately.

Seeing the distance was about right, Chen Mo took out his dagger and swung it at one of the zombies.

Sword Qi Slash!

A white sword qi flew from Chen Mo's dagger, accurately hitting the zombie.

-83

A massive damage number appeared above the zombie's head, instantly depleting its health bar.

"So strong!" Chen Mo's face lit up with joy.

And this was without triggering a Weak Point Attack; if it did, wouldn't it kill with one strike?

However, triggering a Weak Point Attack with a swung sword qi is a bit difficult.

But regardless, with Sword Qi Slash, Chen Mo's strength had a qualitative leap.

With just this one strike, few players could withstand it.

The attacked zombie showed no fear and continued to pounce at Chen Mo.

Chen Mo sidestepped the claws of the two zombies and casually slashed the one with low health, taking it down.

The remaining one was quickly dealt with as well.

Compared to the last time he faced two zombies at once, this was much easier.

He glanced at his experience points: 20/100

"One-fifth of the way, still a long way to level up," Chen Mo sighed.

But now he was full of confidence, killing zombies like cutting through butter. As long as he didn't encounter more than three at once, he could handle them without injury.

Chen Mo took another sip of the Purified Water and continued forward.

Occasionally encountering one or two zombies, Chen Mo easily dispatched them.

After walking for over twenty minutes, Chen Mo finally saw a third type of monster.

A black cat the size of a dog!

The moment he saw the cat, Chen Mo's heart tightened.

He instinctively felt this cat was trouble, and he wanted to retreat, but the cat had already noticed him.

Without giving him time to prepare, the black cat suddenly attacked, pouncing at him instantly.

Chen Mo didn't hesitate, raising his hand to unleash a Sword Qi Slash.

To Chen Mo's shock, the black cat actually dodged.

Fortunately, the Sword Qi Slash was fast enough and hit the target.

-79

A massive damage number appeared above the black cat's head, and its health bar was revealed.

When Chen Mo saw the black cat's health bar, his heart sank.

Level 2 monster!!!

Judging by the lost health, this creature had at least 200 health points.

Only a Level 2 monster could have 200 health.
