Kela Great Forest.
The battle raged on.
The two Demonic Beasts were exceptionally fierce, and despite the collective efforts of the group, including a level 20 Adventurer, they couldn't be subdued quickly.
Instead, the Adventurers suffered heavy casualties.
Over a dozen were dead, and dozens more were injured.
"Where's Tilimus? Get her over here to heal us, without her we can't hold on..."
Carlos was already panting heavily, his Fighting Spirit nearly depleted.
What could 200 points of Fighting Spirit accomplish?
A few uses of Cross Slash and it was gone.
Without the support of a Healing Mage, recovery was impossible in the short term.
In contrast, the two Demonic Beasts were becoming more ferocious, fighting with increasing vigor.
If this continued, the expedition would surely end in failure.
"Tilimus, where are you?" Ronald shouted as he turned around.
But there was no response.
"What's with that woman, where did she run off to?"
Tilimus had a history of slacking off, because they had only dealt with small Demonic Beasts before, which didn't require healing or recovery.
Slacking off was forgivable then.
As the team leader, he didn't say much because she was a Magician.
But now, at this critical moment, how could she slack off?
"Damn it!"
"Is there a Scout here? Quickly, find her. She's a green-haired girl, a Healing Mage. With her, we can definitely win!"
"I'll go!"
"And me!"
Several uninjured Scouts stood up, using Shadow Step, and rushed in the direction the three had come from.
Meanwhile, in a deep ravine.
Chen Yao was greedily absorbing Tilimus's mana.
The latter was also benefiting greatly, standing still in a daze.
She was carefully sensing the mana surging within her, on the verge of leveling up.
The higher the level, the more experience needed. Tilimus had just leveled up not long ago, and her mana was only at 20%.
She still needed 80% more mana to level up.
In just a few minutes of contact with this Goblin, her experience bar shot up to 60%!
Wasn't that terrifying?!
But unfortunately, Tilimus didn't manage to level up in the end.
On the other hand, Chen Yao.
He shot up to level 10 in one go!
From a magic novice, he became a level 10 Magician.
"It feels amazing!"
Chen Yao felt refreshed, his spirit greatly enhanced.
"You..."
Tilimus looked at Chen Yao expressionlessly, just about to say something when Chen Yao kicked her.
The kick was swift and heavy.
Tilimus let out a muffled groan and fainted.
"You're a treasure, I can't just leave you here!"
Chen Yao surveyed the terrain; to get out, he had to climb the rock wall, but what about the woman?
It wasn't easy to come across a Magician, he couldn't bear to just abandon her.
But taking her out wouldn't be easy either.
Just then.
Footsteps suddenly came from above.
"Hey? There's a Magician's hat and staff here, green..."
"She must have fallen into the ravine, let's check it out!"
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."
Figures leaped down from above, using the rock wall to gain momentum, quickly landing at the bottom of the ravine.
Chen Yao's figure had already vanished like a ghost.
Though it was a pity, he couldn't let these Scouts catch him, or he wouldn't be able to escape.
"Here she is!"
They immediately spotted the bruised and swollen Tilimus.
"She's hurt, wake her up quickly..."
A Scout immediately took out a pill and stuffed it into Tilimus's mouth.
Tilimus suddenly sat up, spitting out the pill.
"What happened? Who are you? Where's that Goblin?"
Tilimus remained expressionless, quickly searching for Chen Yao's figure.
"We didn't see any Goblin when we arrived, it must have run away!"
"Are you alright, ma'am? We need your support, or we can't defeat those two Demonic Beasts."
The Scout hurriedly said.
"I'm fine!"
Tilimus touched her swollen face and cast a Healing spell.
Her injuries healed instantly.
"Let's go!"
Tilimus decided to help first, without continuing to search for Chen Yao.
She found a less steep spot and climbed up using the vines.
"What are you standing there for, hurry up and move!"
Scout A reminded Scout B.
"Something's not right..." Scout B looked puzzled.
"What's not right? What's wrong?"
"The pill, it's supposed to be 100 times more sour than vinegar, how come the lady had no reaction?"
"Really?"
"Could it be expired?"
"I just bought it before coming here, thinking it might help stay awake if needed."
"Let me try!"
Scout A took one and put it in his mouth.
The next moment, he was instantly overwhelmed by a series of sour expressions.
"Ah... so sour..."
He spat it out immediately.
But the strong sour taste lingered, making him shiver all over.
"Water, I need water..."
Scout B quickly handed him a water bag.
A quick look at "pawread dot com" will leave you more fulfilled.
He rinsed several times before the terrifying sourness gradually faded.
"My god, why did you buy this stuff, it's deadly..."
"It's for staying awake, seems like the sour pill isn't expired, but why didn't the lady react?"
"Who knows!"
"Now's not the time for this, hurry and catch up!"
"Alright..."
They hurriedly returned to the battlefield.
Without a word, Tilimus cast a Healing spell, and it was a large-scale one!
She drained her mana to cast a powerful spell.
A massive green Magical Aura rose out of nowhere.
All the Adventurers within the aura had their injuries rapidly healing.
"Amazing, is this the power of a Magician? If only we had an attack Magician too!"
The Adventurers marveled.
"Stop dreaming, having a Healing Mage is our luck!"
Tim Town was just a small Novice Sanctuary, hardly any Magicians came here to adventure and level up.
Magicians were treasures, usually training under the protection of strong guards.
Fighting monsters to level up.
Who would come to such a rundown place?
With Tilimus's support, the group soon defeated the two Great Monster Beasts.
They even managed to extract a magic crystal from the Whirlwind Vulture.
"Oh my god, there's really a magic crystal!"
All the Adventurers quickly gathered around, eyes filled with greed.
"Everyone, don't worry, I'll take this magic crystal to the guild, and we'll split the money equally!"
"Everyone gets a share!"
"Great!"
Everyone cheered, surprised at Carlos's generosity in actually sharing with them.
"Let's not delay, let's return to Tim Town, regroup, and then hunt Goblins!"
"Yes."
The Adventurers were delighted.
Though the magic crystal wouldn't be worth much once divided, it was still a decent income.
Enough to live on for half a year.
What no one noticed was that among the crowd returning to town.
There was a short figure, cloaked and hooded, wearing a strange mask.
Following the main group into Tim Town.
