"Misunderstanding? How do you explain that arrow you shot at me earlier? My thigh is still bleeding, where's the misunderstanding in that?!"
The Bird Demon swooped down from the sky, revealing a rather handsome human head, and looked at Mo Fan with anger.
"This Bird Brother is quite dashing, probably the most handsome demon in all of Black Wind Mountain, right?"
Mo Fan immediately showered compliments, leaving the Bird Demon momentarily stunned. It instinctively touched its cheek, somewhat unsure, and asked, "Do you really think I'm handsome?"
"Truer than true gold!" Mo Fan nodded without hesitation.
"Though you're an ugly toad, your eyesight is exceptional. I am indeed the most handsome demon in our clan!"
The Bird Demon didn't hold back, speaking with pride, but then angrily added, "But my beautiful face was almost ruined by your ugly arrow!"
"Uh... Bird Brother, didn't I shoot your leg? How did it become about your face?" Mo Fan was puzzled.
"I said almost! I'm the face of our clan, and shooting me is like ruining our reputation. This can't just be brushed off!"
Seeing the still-furious Bird Demon, Mo Fan was speechless, thinking to himself that this damn bird could somehow connect its leg to its face.
"Bird Brother, we're all civilized demons here, let's be reasonable. Let me ask you, when I saw you before, did you reveal your human head?" Mo Fan asked.
"No, I didn't," the Bird Demon answered instinctively.
"See, that's it. Everyone, judge for yourselves. Since Bird Brother didn't reveal his human head, how was I supposed to know you were a fellow demon? If I had known, why would I have shot you?"
"So, it's just a misunderstanding!"
"Bird Brother, don't you think so?" Mo Fan asked.

The Bird Demon was taken aback, pondering for a while before mumbling, "It seems so..."
"Smack!"
Before the Bird Demon could finish speaking, it received a slap on the back of its head.
"Are you out of your mind?"
"Do we demons need to reason with this ugly thing?"
The Wolf Demon approached, casting a hostile glance at Mo Fan, the Rabbit Demon, and Erha, and immediately sneered, "This ugly thing is cunning. Let's tie them up and hand them over to Lord Demon Officer!"
"Got it!"
The Snake Demon slithered closer, while the Rat Demon emerged from the ground beside Erha, spitting out a rope and jumping onto the tiger's back to start binding Mo Fan and the Rabbit Demon.
Mo Fan wanted to resist, but upon seeing the Wolf Demon's cold gaze, he had to give up, though he kept shouting, "I told you it's a misunderstanding, why won't you believe me?"
"Can't you Black Wind Mountain demons be reasonable?!"
"I don't want to die! I'm still young, I've just transformed into a demon, this has nothing to do with me! I'm just a guide, please let me go, dear demon lords!!"
The Rabbit Demon also kept shouting in fear.
"Shut up, or I'll eat you first!"
The Wolf Demon glared fiercely at the Rabbit Demon, who immediately shrank back and dared not make another sound.
"Whether it's a misunderstanding or not, our Lord Demon Officer will decide. For now, just come with us back to Black Wind Mountain!"
"Don't even think about escaping. To me, newly transformed demons like you are just chicks, easily crushed!"
The Wolf Demon sneered, directing the other three demons to tie up Mo Fan and the Rabbit Demon and take them away, even dragging Erha, the big tiger, by the tail towards Black Wind Mountain.
Thus, Mo Fan finally entered Black Wind Mountain, though not in the way he had imagined.
Black Wind Mountain had no sign or gate, not even a single minor demon guarding it.
If not for seeing some other demons halfway up the mountain, Mo Fan might have suspected that Black Wind Mountain was a rundown demon lair.
Led by the Wolf Demon, the bound Mo Fan and others became a striking sight on Black Wind Mountain.
"Green-Faced, what are you up to?"
On a large rock, a demon with a fat head and big ears, half of its body transformed into human form, asked curiously.
"We caught two wild demons who ambushed White Fur down the mountain, so we're taking them back to be dealt with by our One-Eyed Lord!" the Wolf Demon Green-Faced grinned.
"So they're wild demons. It's been a while since we've seen wild demons on Black Wind Mountain. I wonder if they're here to join us or to become a feast?" the fat-headed demon chuckled.
"I don't know about that. It's better to leave it to our One-Eyed Lord to decide!"
Green-Faced smiled, cupped his hands to the demon, and took his leave.
However, their conversation attracted the attention of many nearby demons.
"Come on, the demons from One-Eye's clan caught some wild demons, that's rare!"
"Let's go, let's see what kind of wild demons they are!"
"I heard there's a female demon, really attractive, all furry and pretty!"
"Nonsense! I heard it's a Toad Demon, how good-looking can a transformed toad be?!"
"I heard it's a big tiger."
"Let's go, let's see..."
Soon, the news of Green-Faced and the others capturing wild demons spread far and wide, attracting more demons to come and watch.
Curiosity is a demon's nature. Unlike humans who enjoy working and cultivating, demons prefer leisure and idleness. Besides specific times for cultivation and hunting, most of their time is spent in play.
As a gathering place for demons, Black Wind Mountain usually has little to attract attention besides special events and feasts.
Now, hearing that demons from another clan caught wild demons, it's big news on Black Wind Mountain, naturally drawing many demons to watch.
"Damn, how did the demons from One-Eye's clan become so capable? Just a few days of patrolling and they caught two wild demons!"
"Yeah, Green-Faced is going to get credit for this, his tail will probably be up in the sky!"
"Who cares about his tail, I just want to know if we can get a feast, get some good food. Lately, there haven't even been bugs to poop on around Black Wind Mountain, I've been eating wild grass for days, lost a lot of weight!"
Some demons envied Green-Faced and the others, while others complained, hoping for a feast.
To these Black Wind Mountain demons, Mo Fan and the other wild demons were a novelty, but to Mo Fan, these demons were also a curiosity. While they observed him, he also observed them.
In the end, he noticed that these demons seemed quite rustic, perhaps starved, as their eyes lit up at the mention of a feast.
"Fellow demon brothers, we're not wild demons, we're here to join the Black Wind Mountain Demon King, but we got tied up by this Wolf Demon. Please, judge for us!"
Seeing more and more demons gathering, Mo Fan raised his voice, wanting to attract more attention and let them know he was here to join, not to be a sacrifice.
In Mo Fan's view, since these demons could gather in one place and occupy such a large mountain, there must be a Demon King and rules among them.
Without rules, it would have been chaos long ago, and they couldn't have gathered so many demons.
So, the bigger the commotion, the better.
"Make way, our Lord Heizi is coming!!"
