Chapter 10 – The Bold Seventh Elder

"Senior Brother, quickly see if you recognize this senior brother."

Li Chuan stopped at the entrance of the Yin-Yang Sect and asked the disciple guarding the mountain.

The disciple's face changed immediately upon seeing the person on Li Chuan's back. "This is Senior Brother He Fenglin, a core disciple of the Inner Sect and also the Seventh Elder's apprentice. Who injured him?"

"I don't know. I found him by chance. Senior Brother, please take me to the Seventh Elder to treat Senior Brother He."

"Alright, follow me."

Li Chuan hadn't expected that saving someone at random would involve such a significant background.

No matter the time or place, as long as there are people gathered, background is always important.

Simply put, like Zhou Hanhe and Zhao Mingxuan at the Mission Hall, without some connections, such positions wouldn't fall to them.

Mo Xiangling, who earned her position through her own talent, is a rarity. After all, her fame is well-known within the sect.

But how many in the world possess such strong innate talent like her? Most people are just part of the common crowd.

Following the mountain-guarding disciple, they quickly flew into the Inner Sect area.

The spiritual energy in the Inner Sect is much denser than in the Outer Sect. Unfortunately, ordinary Qi Refining stage disciples aren't qualified to train here; only those with outstanding talent have the opportunity.

Like Mo Xiangling, for example.

The mountain-guarding disciple himself was a Foundation Establishment stage disciple of the Inner Sect. Under his guidance, they soon arrived at a mountain peak filled with the sounds of birds and the fragrance of flowers.

"Reporting to the Seventh Elder, Senior Brother He Fenglin is seriously injured and needs treatment," the mountain-guarding disciple and Li Chuan stopped outside the peak and respectfully called out.

Several men and women appeared and flew towards them.

The men were handsome, and the women were beautiful, making Li Chuan secretly marvel.

"What happened to Fifth Junior Brother?"

"What's wrong with Fifth Senior Brother?"

They looked concerned, and seeing someone respond, the mountain-guarding disciple led Li Chuan into the peak.

Li Chuan and the others landed on the peak with He Fenglin. While the others treated He Fenglin, Li Chuan secretly observed the surroundings.

It was his first time in such a place. The spiritual energy on this peak was even denser than elsewhere, making cultivation here much more effective.

Of course, the differences didn't stop there. Just a glance at the colorful flowers, grasses, and vines in the distance revealed they were all spirit plants, worth tens of thousands with just a rough estimate.

And that was only considering the first-tier spirit plants Li Chuan recognized. He had no idea how many second or third-tier plants were there.

His gaze soon paused on a few grasses in the distance, a flash of astonishment crossing his face before he quickly looked away.

The spirit plants on Elder Peak were surely managed by powerful Spirit Plant Masters, so he decided not to meddle.

As Li Chuan withdrew his gaze, he caught sight of a striking figure under a nearby eave, almost exclaiming "Holy shit" out loud.

Under the eave, a graceful woman was walking towards them.

Her beauty was captivating, with a delicate nose like morning dew, lips as red and luscious as cherries, and eyebrows like distant ink. Her long hair was elegantly piled atop her head, giving her a dignified and graceful appearance.

Yet, she wore a white gauze dress that revealed glimpses of her fair skin, leaving Li Chuan dumbfounded.

Moreover, she had a purple jade-embedded belt around her waist, drawing attention and leaving one unsure where to focus.

At this moment, a female cultivator beside Li Chuan called out to the woman, "Master, we don't know who injured Junior Brother He. We've given him healing medicine, but he still hasn't woken up."

The mountain-guarding disciple also quickly bowed to the woman, "Greetings, Seventh Elder."

Li Chuan, startled, quickly followed suit, "Greetings, Seventh Elder."

He hadn't expected this woman to be the Seventh Elder of the Minshan Branch Sect of the Yin-Yang Sect.

Damn, for an elder to dress like this, it's just, it's just fucking amazing...

Li Chuan suddenly realized that his previous experiences were too low-level, so he hadn't encountered such high-end circles.

Look at how the high-end players operate!

The female disciples in the Qi Refining stage within the Yin-Yang Sect are slow in cultivation for a reason.

Their awareness is too low.

Look at this Seventh Elder, possessing both figure and looks, strength and status, and an open mind.

Look at her awareness, look at her attire...

Seeing the mountain-guarding disciple keeping his head down, and the male disciples of the Seventh Elder doing the same, Li Chuan, though tempted to keep looking, decided not to stand out.

He believed that with such a beautiful sight before them, these senior brothers must have learned their lesson the hard way.

The actions of predecessors are often lessons learned through experience.

Soon, a pair of crystal-clear jade feet appeared in Li Chuan's view as the Seventh Elder stopped in front of him.

Then, a slightly cold yet seemingly charming voice spoke, "It's alright, his injuries have been stabilized. The reason he hasn't woken up is due to severe mental exhaustion. He just needs some time to recuperate."

"Did you bring Fenglin back?"

Li Chuan felt the Seventh Elder's gaze on him and quickly replied, "Yes, Seventh Elder. I was training by a stream twenty miles away when I saw Senior Brother He floating down from upstream, so I brought him back."

"Did you see who injured him?"

"Replying to the Seventh Elder, no, I didn't notice any strangers nearby at the time."

"If I remember correctly, your name is Li Chuan, right?"

The Seventh Elder suddenly mentioning Li Chuan's name left him stunned, prompting him to look up at her beautiful, dignified face in surprise. "Seventh Elder, you know me?"

Inevitably, Li Chuan's gaze would drift down, though the crucial parts remained indistinct.

But the indistinctness had its own charm, its own allure.

"When you joined our Yin-Yang Sect, I even argued with the Fourth Elder over it. Do you think I know you?" Mu Yuling looked at Li Chuan, smiling meaningfully.

Li Chuan was taken aback by her words. It was his first time meeting Mu Yuling, and he wasn't aware of the matter she mentioned.

"Did the Seventh Elder argue over me?" He looked puzzled.

The other disciples present also looked at Li Chuan in surprise, astonished that Mu Yuling would have a dispute with the Fourth Elder over him.
