Chapter 20 – Silver Wolf Fang

Li Wu was quite content. Although seeing Bai Dabao's eagerness for the Zombie King Scepter, he knew she wouldn't mind adding an extra ten or twenty gold coins to the deal. But if he did that, the bottom line he had painstakingly maintained with Spicy Rabbit for tens of thousands would truly lose its value.

Bai Dabao was also satisfied. Even though she was nearly broke, acquiring a Silver Wolf Robe was equivalent to earning a hundred gold coins. Although she wouldn't sell it and didn't really need the money, it was still a nice bonus! Earning ten thousand in one go, let's see if my stingy dad dares to call me a spendthrift now!

"Do you want me to help you level up?" Bai Dabao, in a good mood, found Li Wu increasingly pleasing to the eye and offered to help him level up again.

"Thanks, but there's no need to trouble you." Li Wu politely declined Bai Dabao once more and turned to leave.

"Wait, you're a nice guy. Let's add each other as friends!"

Naturally, Li Wu wouldn't refuse a friend request from someone who was practically a benefactor, so he immediately accepted.

Once out of Bai Dabao's sight, Li Wu excitedly opened his backpack.

[Silver Wolf Fang] (Gold)

Physical Attack +198

Strength +12

Endurance +12

Agility +12

Required Level: 6

Equipment Skill: Sharp Fangs: Passive Skill, Basic Attack deals an additional 8% Attack Power as damage and 5% Lifesteal.

What a great item!

With 198 Attack Power plus 12 Strength, it amounted to 222 Attack Power.

The equipment skill was also impressive. Although it wasn't an active skill, basic attacks had no cooldown, making each strike a mini skill, and the 5% Lifesteal was even better, greatly enhancing sustainability.

Li Wu couldn't help but caress it for a few seconds before putting it up for auction.

Damn it, hesitating for even a few seconds was an insult to gold coins!

Keeping it wasn't an option. By the time he reached level 6, who knows how much the weapon would depreciate. Better to sell it while prices were high.

There was also a set of Silver Equipment in the bag.

Li Wu immediately took out the two shiny silver pistols. As a man, he couldn't resist such things.

The two silver pistols were actually a single piece of equipment and couldn't be used separately.

Unfortunately, they required level 7, so Li Wu could only admire them without equipping them.

The other eight pieces of Silver Equipment were all level 8. Although they were Bai Dabao's cast-offs, they were considered high-end equipment in the current Beginner Village. Whoever wore this set would instantly become a top player in the village, and anyone who saw them would have to call them a handsome guy.

Li Wu glanced at the attributes and found they suited him perfectly, with a focus on Attack Power and secondary Health and Vital Root, essentially an upgraded version of his current level 1 Black Iron set.

Why wait to put them up for auction?

Wait for them to depreciate?

This time, Li Wu didn't hesitate for a second and put everything up for auction, including the beloved Silver Dual Pistols.

There was also a Novice Pistol in the bag, which he could touch and equip. Since he couldn't afford bullets, it was enough to satisfy his craving.

There were also level 8 Silver Equipment for sale in the Auction House, but very few. This set should fetch a good price.

Although he didn't know the final price, it would definitely be more profitable than selling the Zombie King Scepter alone.

After listing everything, Li Wu logged off to eat.

Having earned another big sum, Li Wu decided to splurge a bit and went downstairs to buy two meat buns without any extra fillings. After eating, he logged back in.

He headed straight for the Giant Rabbit Plains and leveled up to level 2 after soloing over eighty Giant Bunnies.

At this point, Spicy Rabbit finally returned, and to Li Wu's surprise, the young girl was also level 2.

Li Wu asked and found out that the hundred-man team Spicy Rabbit had been following didn't return to the village directly but detoured to a level 6 monster area to grind.

The young girl had naively followed them to the level 6 monsters and was dumbfounded.

Fortunately, a big shot named Hao Jianjun noticed her and sent two people to escort her back. On the way, they killed some blocking monsters, which helped the young girl level up.

Li Wu was a bit surprised and then joked, "That big shot is really wooden. If it were me, I'd just sneak up and stab you, sending you back to the city instantly."

"Tuan Bro!" Spicy Rabbit pouted, stomping her foot in annoyance.

"Alright, alright, since we're both level 2, let's buy some level 2 equipment and go fight level 2 monsters."

"Okay." The young girl, with a fortune of a hundred thousand, loved shopping more than anything.

The two searched the Auction House for a while, intending to splurge on a set of level 2 Silver Equipment, but it simply didn't exist.

Li Wu searched again and found that the lowest level Silver Equipment in the Auction House required level 3. He speculated that Silver Equipment might only be available from level 3 onwards, and since it would soon be obsolete, he didn't bother to verify on the forum.

The two picked out a suitable set of level 2 Black Iron Equipment. After Spicy Rabbit changed, she gave her discarded level 1 Black Iron set to a nearby new player struggling against a Giant Rabbit.

After playing the role of a caring big sister, the young girl looked at Li Wu with big, expectant eyes.

Li Wu hesitated for a split second before tossing his recently discarded equipment into the Auction House.

This spendthrift kid wanted to drag me down with her, but that's eighty bucks!

The young girl wasn't upset when her eye attack didn't work. She happily followed Li Wu to the level 2 monster area.

[Land Turtle]

Level: 2

Health: 360

Physical Attack: 42

Double Defense: 15

The level 2 monsters had a significant boost, with nearly double the total attributes. Facing them with level 1 whiteboard gear would be another ordeal.

Fortunately, level 2 Black Iron Equipment was dirt cheap, and the two of them easily overpowered the monsters with their attributes.

After changing gear, Li Wu's health reached 320, attack 98, and defense 39, making soloing Land Turtles a breeze.

After changing gear, Spicy Rabbit's health was 255, spell attack 90, and defense 30. The young girl was thoughtful in choosing equipment, focusing on increasing spell attack and spirit, completely sacrificing health and defense. Her mana points even exceeded her health, reaching 260.

Even so, with her 100% critical hit rate, soloing Land Turtles was actually easier for her than for Li Wu, but she was afraid of getting hurt.

The Land Turtle's attack was 42, and Li Wu's defense was 39, resulting in only 3 points of damage. Li Wu couldn't be bothered to kite and charged straight in with a Power Strike.

The 3 points of damage were less than Baby Tuan's little punch, and Li Wu didn't even bother to change his expression.

Spicy Rabbit's damage was still explosive, reducing the Land Turtle to a sliver of health.

Li Wu finished off the Land Turtle with a basic attack, and luckily, the first turtle dropped a shell.

With the experiment over, the two officially started grinding, just like with the Giant Bunnies. Li Wu didn't need to use skills; two basic attacks plus Spicy Rabbit's Fireball were enough to kill a Giant Rabbit.

A Land Turtle could only deal 3 points of damage to him, not even as fast as his health regeneration.

Spicy Rabbit was delighted. Her current mana points allowed her to cast 26 Fireball spells, and with natural mana regeneration, she could fight 30 monsters in a row before needing a break, no longer a little burden.
