Chapter 28 – Uncle is so amazing

Two players, one big and one small, held their ground at the Land Turtle gathering spot, farming until 7 a.m. Li Wu logged off to make breakfast for Baby Tuan, while Spicy Rabbit turned back to the Giant Rabbit Plains.

After a night of hard work, Li Wu had reached Level 3, but Spicy Rabbit was still a bit short due to missing out on the Electric Zombie King's experience.

Little Tuantuan was as well-behaved and sensible as ever, getting up on her own to brush her teeth and wash her face, then sitting obediently at the dining table waiting for her favorite uncle to bring her favorite food.

Earning 600,000 in just two days and nights relieved a lot of Li Wu's pressure. Combined with his previous savings, he didn't have to worry about the special medicine for his precious niece for the next two years.

"Uncle, why are you so happy?"

"Because Tuantuan is so adorable!"

"Uh-huh, Tuantuan is the cutest! I'm the invincible little cutie~~"

"Today, Tuantuan should listen to the teacher, and tonight Uncle will take you to buy that big doll we saw last time."

"Wow!" Tuantuan raised her little hand in excitement but quickly put it down, "But didn't Uncle say we could only buy it during the New Year? Is it New Year today?"

"It's not New Year yet, but Uncle made a lot of money again, so buying it early is fine."

"Wow! Uncle made a lot of money again, is it ten hundred yuan?"

"Hehe, even more than ten hundred yuan!"

"Wow! Uncle is amazing!"

...

After dropping Little Tuantuan off at kindergarten, Li Wu didn't rush to catch up on sleep but logged back into the game and headed to the mine shaft.

The Electric Zombie King, which he killed around 11 p.m. last night, would respawn around 11 a.m.

To defeat the Electric Zombie King, you must ambush it in advance; otherwise, you'll be killed before even seeing the boss.

Following the coordinates he noted yesterday, Li Wu arrived at the spot where the Death Warrior found the Electric Zombie King last night.

Before the Electric Zombie King respawned, he found a suitable small platform and lay down to log off and catch up on sleep.

He slept until 11 a.m., logging back in right on time, still lying on the small platform.

He opened the Area Chat to confirm no one was organizing a fight against the Electric Zombie King, then lay back and opened the forum.

In the mine shaft, the Electric Zombie King's alert range and attack distance are farther than a player's vision. You can't even mine while waiting; sitting up might get you spotted by the wandering Electric Zombie King. Lying flat is the safest, and when the Electric Zombie King jumps around under the small platform, that's when you've got it trapped.

The forum only mentioned that the Electric Zombie King roams deep in the mine shaft, but specific respawn coordinates were unavailable. Li Wu could only browse the forum while waiting for a chance.

While Li Wu lay flat, a few players outside the mine shaft looked displeased.

"We've been waiting for two hours and haven't seen a trace of Invincible Cute Tuan. Is he not farming the Electric Zombie King anymore?"

"He should be farming it. The boss is guaranteed to drop Gold Equipment. Even the worst Level 5 Gold Equipment can sell for a few thousand bucks, and a weapon would be at least 100,000. Who could resist?"

"We've wasted two hours here. How long are we going to stand around?"

Theft is never good, try looking at bit.ly/3iBfjkV.

"Money's hard to earn, and shit's hard to eat. We've already taken Junlin Tianxia's deposit. Can you afford to refund it?"

"Refunding is impossible. Anyway, I'll wait until noon. After that, I want to work at the Silver Wolf King."

"The Silver Wolf King isn't worth it anymore. Last night, the G-group's wages were halved. This time, it'll probably drop again, not even enough for errands."

"That's normal. Some players are already Level 10. They'll soon be tackling Level 10 bosses. Level 5 bosses can only struggle for a couple more days, and nobody's buying other equipment."

"Invincible Cute Tuan has it the best. I heard he has some Throwing Talent that ignores defense. It's like the Electric Zombie King was made for him, but he farms it alone."

"It'll only be one or two more times. The top players' levels and equipment are about the same. Soon, they'll easily lure it out."

"Useless. Only the front is appealing. In another one or two times, even dogs won't bother. Our Beginner Village is trash. I saw on the forum that many Beginner Villages are already killing the Electric Zombie King easily."

...

Li Wu didn't know Junlin Tianxia had hired people to camp him at the mine shaft entrance. He leisurely browsed the forum, unknowingly falling asleep in the game.

He didn't know how much time had passed when the roaring below finally woke him up.

Checking the time, he realized it was already 12:30. He didn't know if he slept too deeply or if the boss wandered slowly.

With over 300 stones, Li Wu quickly smashed the Electric Zombie King to death.

"Ding, ding, ding!"

The familiar system notifications: 12,000 experience, and the experience gained after Level 3 had decreased again.

Still 50 Reputation, currently at 1150 points, with no idea what it's for.

He happily leveled up his Slash again, now reaching a 0.4% cut ratio. The Level 5 boss could no longer trigger a Talent increase.

Looking at his loot, Li Wu couldn't help but sigh.

After all, he wasn't a child of fortune. The boss couldn't drop valuable items every time.

A Level 5 Gold Ring, three Level 5 Silver items, one Black Iron item, and the ever-present two pieces of Amethyst Ore.

Currency dropped: 1 Gold, 68 Silver, and 88 Copper.

He put the Gold Ring up for auction, kept the Silver Equipment for personal use, and listed the Black Iron for 5 Silver, just to earn some pocket change.

After organizing his loot, Li Wu looked at the zombies respawning in the distance and decided against suiciding to return to the city.

Dying was too unpleasant; avoiding it whenever possible was best.

He opened the Auction House again and searched for Level 3 Silver Equipment.

Didn't Hao Jianjun say to improve his strength as much as possible? So Li Wu wasn't interested in Black Iron Equipment anymore and planned to get a set of Level 3 Silver, which would undoubtedly boost his leveling efficiency.

Level 3 Silver Equipment wasn't cheap, unlike the dirt-cheap Black Iron Equipment.

After all, for most players, using Level 3 Silver Equipment until Level 6 or 7 was normal. It had one more attribute than Black Iron, and even if the base value was lower, it was enough to make up for it.

Of course, this so-called "not cheap" was from the perspective of Li Wu, the free-to-play player.

"Damn it, it's so expensive!"

A full set of Level 3 Silver Equipment, including a weapon, cost Li Wu 58 Silver Coins, almost killing him.

"The big doll Baby Tuan likes is only 188, and you dare charge this much!"

Li Wu angrily equipped the Silver set, then listed his Level 2 Black Iron set. After some thought, he also listed the three Silver items he just got and the two from last time.

Forget it!

Reaching Level 5 would take at least another day, and who knew how much the equipment would depreciate? It was best not to keep it!

After finishing, Li Wu checked his attributes.

Level: 3

Health: 480

Physical Attack: 168

Spell Attack: 32

Defense: 62

Other attributes weren't important for now; knowing his attack and defense was enough.

Li Wu still had 10 Free Attributes unallocated. His original plan was to distribute them with a 4:1 ratio between Strength and Vital Root, but after making money from Slash, he considered adding them to Agility.

Agility could increase attack speed, which would naturally help trigger Slash later.

However, with low levels and cheap equipment, Li Wu decided to save the attribute points for now and allocate them as needed later.
