Chapter 30 – Conquer the World

Li Wu finally understood.

Junlin Tianxia, that sly old fox, actually hired people to block him. Getting killed was one thing, but this guy wanted to cut off his source of income!

There were only three entrances to the mine shaft. Just station a few high-level players there, and they could keep him out, even if he wore a mask to hide his name.

After all, most miners were either low-level or poorly equipped, struggling to get by. If a few high-level players wielding swords demanded you reveal your name, would you dare not to?

No need to worry about offending anyone. Who among the powerful would bother mining?

Once it happened, it would happen again. Li Wu couldn't focus on leveling up anymore and hurried to the mine shaft.

Taking advantage of their current falling out, it was best to get his account into the mine shaft quickly.

Li Wu observed the area near the mine shaft and, seeing no high-level players guarding it, swiftly entered.

Based on previous experience, Li Wu headed straight to the depths of the mine shaft.

After clearing out the zombies in the depths and lying down on a small platform, it was time to pick up the child.

Riding his little electric scooter to the kindergarten, Li Wu, just like yesterday, secured himself to the railing, waiting for his darling to spot him first.

Little Tuantuan, as usual, poked her little head out as soon as she left the school building, her big eyes filled with the same anticipation.

Li Wu saw the little one's surprised eyes and adorable molars, and couldn't help but wave, showing his eight big teeth.

That little expression was just too endearing! It was practically against the rules!

Because Tuantuan had seriously told Teacher Leilei that her uncle would pick her up first, Teacher Leilei had specially arranged for Tuantuan to be in the front row.

Suppressing the urge to rush over, the little one finally reached the designated spot under the teacher's guidance, and without waiting for Teacher Leilei to call her name, she launched herself like a little cannonball into Li Wu's arms.

Li Wu pinched Tuantuan's little cheek, "Say goodbye to the teacher."

"Goodbye, Teacher Leilei!"

"Uncle, are we going to buy a big doll?"

"Yes, we're going to buy a big doll, but you have to tell Uncle how much you ate tonight."

Tuantuan gestured with her little hands, answering seriously, "I ate a lot, a lot, I ate five dumplings!"

"That's only five." Li Wu raised Tuantuan's thumb and continued, "Let's go buy the big doll now."

When little Tuantuan fell asleep hugging a doll bigger than herself, it was almost 10 PM. It's inevitable for a child to be a bit excited with a new toy, even smiling in her sleep.

Li Wu affectionately tapped Tuantuan's little nose, then put on his gaming helmet.

After logging in, Li Wu immediately checked the chat channel. Once he confirmed that no one was organizing a hunt for the Electric Zombie King, he relaxed and waited for the Electric Zombie King to come to him.

As expected, the Electric Zombie King, which he had already killed three times, quickly fell under Li Wu's stone. Unfortunately, the level 5 boss could no longer upgrade his Slash Talent.

"Ding, gained 12,000 experience."

"Ding, Reputation +50."

Li Wu quickly picked up the boss's drops, and two golden lights made him slightly excited.

[Zombie King's Battle Armor] (Gold)

Health +280

Defense +30

Vital Root +12

Spirit +12

Equipment Level: 5

[Zombie King's Battle Helm] (Gold)

Health +150

Vital Root +8

Strength +8

Intelligence +8

Equipment Level: 5

Seeing the armor, Li Wu was thrilled. Due to the pain sensation, the value of armor was second only to weapons. Even a level 5 one should be worth quite a bit.

But when he saw the attributes of the [Zombie King's Battle Armor], Li Wu's face darkened immediately.

Damn it, a physical-type armor with added Spirit, this equipment's value plummeted!

Even if it didn't add Strength or Vital Root, it could at least add Agility!

Li Wu checked the auction house, and his face turned even darker.

Without the Spirit attribute, which was useless for physical types, this gold-grade armor was barely comparable to a level 8 silver armor, and it even had 10 less health, turning it into Chinese cabbage!

The other [Zombie King's Battle Helm] almost made Li Wu faint, adding both Strength and Intelligence, as if it was made for a Paladin!

Two golden lights resulted in two pieces of Chinese cabbage, and as the Electric Zombie King's body turned to light, Li Wu really wanted to kick it a couple of times.

"Could it be that the developers can't stand me monopolizing the Electric Zombie King and are deliberately messing with me?"

Li Wu sighed and checked the remaining drops.

Two pieces of silver equipment, a shoe and a ring, with decent attributes leaning towards physical, which he could keep for himself.

There was also a long-lost [Zombie Thigh Bone], a black iron-grade item that Li Wu didn't even bother to look at, just tossed it into the auction house, hoping to trade it for a couple of meat buns.

Still, there were two pieces of Amethyst Ore with unknown uses.

Li Wu had checked the forums, and no one knew the purpose of Amethyst Ore yet.

Even the currency had shrunk, with the last one dropping 1 gold and 66 silver, and this time only 1 gold and 10 silver.

Could it be that the average player level was too high, reducing the drop rate for such low-level bosses?

Li Wu barely found a reason to convince himself and turned to head out of the mine shaft.

After carefully observing near the mine entrance and confirming no high-level players were camping, Li Wu quickly returned to the village.

It was unclear whether Junlin Tianxia had forgotten or if no one took the job due to the wage dispute.

Li Wu hesitated for a moment and decided to keep the two pieces of gold equipment for himself.

The attributes were weird, and top players wouldn't care for them. Of course, the low level was actually an advantage. After all, it was gold equipment, and even if one attribute was useless, it was comparable to level 8 equipment.

A level 6 player wearing level 8 silver equipment would see a significant boost in combat power.

Unfortunately, there were very few wealthy players still struggling at level 6, so these two pieces of gold equipment were destined not to sell for much.

Besides, after obtaining so much gold equipment, it seemed unreasonable not to enjoy it himself.

Li Wu stored the equipment in the village warehouse and then called on his little helper to start grinding monsters.

Spicy Rabbit had also reached level 4, but neither of them was in a hurry to switch to level 4 equipment. With few monsters and many players, even enhancing their gear wouldn't improve efficiency much, as they could kill Mad Sheep in just two or three hits.

They kept grinding until midnight when the chat channel started organizing and responding to a hunt for the Silver Wolf King.

Since the Electric Zombie King hadn't been profitable, Li Wu joined in with a bit of luck, only to waste over half an hour for 1,000 experience.

Not long had passed, and the top players' strength had increased again. The Silver Wolf King's head was surrounded by three-digit numbers, making Li Wu's 272 seem insignificant. Trying to land the last hit without the luck of a chosen one was just a joke.

Li Wu obediently returned to grinding monsters, swearing never to fight the Silver Wolf King again.

The monotonous grinding continued until five in the morning when a sudden server-wide announcement injected excitement into all the online players of Blue Star Online.

Server-wide Announcement: Congratulations to the party led by player Zhan Tianxia for defeating the level 10 boss [Berserk Giant Ape], earning the first kill reward in the China server with 3,000 Reputation.
