Damn it, the lifesteal even comes with a sensation of pain, and it stacks with the basic attack damage. The 160 damage accounts for over 20%, and it hurts like being bitten by a big dog in real life.
-170 (+6 Slash Damage)
Li Wu gritted his teeth through the intense pain and stabbed the Bloodfang Beast to death, his face not looking too good.
To take down one Bloodfang Beast, he got bitten four times, losing 340 health. Even if he could endure the pain, he had to rest and recover after fighting two monsters at once. And that was with the Bloodfang Beast only triggering lifesteal once. If it triggered two or three times, fighting two at once would be tough.
No wonder there are few players here. This lifesteal of 100 points ignores defense, and unless your health exceeds a thousand or even reaches fifteen hundred, most people can't endure the double-stacked pain.
And players with that much health would be overqualified to fight Bloodfang Beasts, so only a few players are teaming up to grind here at Bloodfang Ridge.
"This won't do. The pain is one thing, but the efficiency is too low. Let's go grind on level 5 monsters first, and come back when you reach level 5."
Li Wu naturally wouldn't admit to Spicy Rabbit that he was afraid of pain, citing low efficiency as the main reason to lead the young girl to the level 5 monster area.
The level 5 monsters south of the village are [Venomous Spiders], which look similar to real-life spiders but are terrifyingly large. At first glance, you might think a giant king crab had come ashore.
Li Wu cast a True Sight, revealing the attributes of the Venomous Spider.
[Venomous Spider]
Level: 5
Health: 1200
Attack: 126
Defense: 54
Skill: Venom: Basic attacks carry venom, poisoning the target and causing 10% attack power as poison damage per second for 5 seconds. Each attack refreshes the duration, and the venom can stack up to 5 layers.
Monsters level 5 and above are mostly aggressive and have at least one skill.
The Venomous Spider's skill doesn't seem to deal high damage, but it can be terrifying over time.
Firstly, the venom damage ignores defense. With 12 damage over 5 seconds reaching 60 points, if it stacks to 5 layers, it's scarier than Spicy Rabbit's 100% critical hit.
Li Wu calculated his health and damage, confirming that he could grind Venomous Spiders, as long as he didn't let the venom stack beyond two layers, he could keep grinding.
Spicy Rabbit started with a Fireball.
-375
The Venomous Spider, taking damage, lunged at Spicy Rabbit. The massive spider was quite menacing, and the young girl screamed in fright. If Li Wu hadn't quickly reassured her, she might have run back to the village by now.

Li Wu stepped forward and stunned the Venomous Spider with a Shield Bash, quickly following up with two basic attacks.

The Venomous Spider recovered and bit Li Wu, turning his body a strange green color.
Transforming into a mini Hulk, Li Wu endured the tingling sensation at the wound and swiftly finished off the Venomous Spider with a basic attack.
It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from bit.ly/3iBfjkV.
The Venomous Spider dropped a material, but Li Wu didn't bother to pick it up, instead rubbing the bitten area vigorously.
The venom wasn't painful, but it was incredibly itchy, itching once per second until the duration ended.
Despite the discomfort, Li Wu was satisfied with the grinding efficiency, only getting bitten once by the Venomous Spider, with the attack and venom damage totaling just 96 health lost.
With his current health and recovery, he could basically kill 9 Venomous Spiders in a row.
Of course, with healing potions, he could keep fighting.
However, thinking about the shop's cheapest healing potion costing 20 copper, Li Wu hesitated.
The cheapest level 1 Red Potion restores 200 health over 5 seconds, 40 per second.
Using it to grind Venomous Spiders is like spending 1 coin per Venomous Spider.
Hmm! It seems acceptable.
"Hey, Rabbit! Look..."
Li Wu used his silver tongue, appealing to emotions and logic, from sharing hardships to fighting side by side, leaving Spicy Rabbit bewildered, with shamelessness that even the author was embarrassed to write.
Li Wu, satisfied, took 250 small Red Potions from Spicy Rabbit, and with the 250 he bought himself, he figured it was enough. He eagerly led the young girl back to Bloodfang Ridge.
Using potions to level up was indeed much more efficient, no longer having to wait for health to recover. If it weren't for the many players at Bloodfang Ridge making monsters scarce, Li Wu would have loved to keep grinding there.
Aggressive monsters seemed to have a higher drop rate than non-aggressive ones. Although Black Iron equipment was scarce, there were plenty of whiteboard gear and materials.
Of course, making money from this was unlikely, but it was enough for game time (bread and water).
After grinding for over two hours, using half the Red Potions, Spicy Rabbit finally reached level 5.
Without needing Li Wu's reminder, the young girl opened the Auction House and bought a set of Silver Equipment, choosing the best attributes, boosting her spell attack to 260 points.
After changing gear, Spicy Rabbit was even more eager than Li Wu, insisting on facing the Bloodfang Beast again.
After all, Tuan Bro said the Bloodfang Beast's bite wasn't painful, and even after grinding Venomous Spiders for two hours, she still found them creepy. She was afraid of small spiders in real life, let alone these hundred times larger creatures.
If Tuan Bro wasn't standing in front of her, she'd rather grind rabbits than see these terrifying creatures.
Li Wu hesitated, unwilling to move, but as a man, he was too embarrassed to admit he was afraid of pain. Just as he was pondering an excuse, a huge White Light flashed in the distance, and a giant spider as big as a door appeared.
Li Wu was too close, triggering the giant spider's alert line, and it charged at him as soon as it spawned.
Li Wu was startled by the sudden appearance of the giant creature, but being a man, he quickly reacted, casting a True Sight and following up with a Power Strike on the giant spider's head.
-257 (-24)
Li Wu didn't need to check the giant spider's info; seeing the 24 Slash Damage, he turned and ran.
Spicy Rabbit reacted even faster than Li Wu, screaming and running as soon as the giant spider spawned.
The giant spider was stunned for 1.5 seconds, then resumed chasing Li Wu. Although not very fast, it was faster than Li Wu!
Li Wu ran about 20 meters before the giant spider caught up, biting him for 150 health, making him scream louder than Spicy Rabbit.

-24 (Venom Damage)
Even worse, the giant spider also had a venom skill, turning Li Wu green instantly.
Just when Li Wu thought he might have to return to the city to revive, an Ice Arrow flew from afar, striking the giant spider hard.

The explosive damage instantly shifted the giant spider's aggro from Li Wu, turning its head to charge at the returning Spicy Rabbit.
