The Devouring Spirit Python is actually a common demonic beast, but they mostly appear in mines.

Yunmeng Pavilion owns seven or eight mines, and every mine has Devouring Spirit Pythons inside. Disciples are often assigned tasks to exterminate these pythons.

These pythons aren't very large in size, nor are they particularly strong in attack, but they are difficult to hunt as they move underground.

Moreover, they can emit toxic gas, and if an ordinary disciple gets sprayed, they will be either dead or injured.
