Chapter 53 – Write a name

After sitting with Mrs. Simole for a while, Karun said goodbye and drove home.

Mrs. Simole was currently in a state of spiritual depression. As time passed, the anger and hatred brought about by her husband's betrayal were slowly fading away, replaced by various discomforts in her daily life. Going from the rhythm of life as a couple to being alone was like a table missing a leg.

Karun's suggestion was to move to a new house, which could effectively get rid of the influence of past habits. This suggestion wouldn't work for ordinary people, but it wasn't a problem for Mrs. Simole because she was very wealthy.

Back at home, Karun walked into the living room with a paint box in his hand. Aunt Winnie was sitting on the sofa doing accounts, Aunt Mary was sitting across from her eating fruit, and Uncle Mason was lying in a delicate black coffin on the embalming table.

"I think we could add some more decoration inside, like a place to put a radio box, or a hidden box with a gun in it."

"Are you trying to prevent tomb robbers?" Aunt Winnie gave her evaluation without even looking up. "I think it would be more practical to give the cemetery administrator another gun."

"I just think that if someone were to wake up inside the coffin, they could use the gun to call for help. If it weren't for the fact that the cemetery has no phone lines, I would really like to put a telephone in there. Think about it, the loved ones of the deceased would hope that they have a chance to suddenly wake up. At least there would be this beautiful vision, wouldn't there?"

Aunt Winnie continued to shake her head. "Our service quality is very high, and we bury people deep enough that bullets can't penetrate. Plus, he should have been suffocated before he even had a chance to shoot."

"Hope, hope, that's what I'm talking about. Mary, if I died, would you want me to suddenly sit up in the coffin?"

Aunt Mary took a bite of her apple and shook her head. "I would stab you in the chest before doing your makeup to prevent you from falsely being declared dead. I don't want you suffocating in the coffin. That would be too cruel."

Uncle Mason was stunned for a moment, then sat up and looked at Aunt Mary. "That is indeed a very good choice, my dear."

Then, as Uncle Mason sat up, he saw Karun walking in. He immediately shouted, "Oh my God, let's see who's back! He's carrying a golden glow, stepping on the glow of the sunset with his feet, and there are gorgeous melodies all around him. Ah, it's my handsome nephew, Karun!"

Uncle Mason flipped over the edge of the coffin with one hand and landed with a slight slip of his foot. Below was the step of the embalming table. He had to continue to lean forward and slide forward, and after running down the steps, his momentum was still there, but his body had completely lost balance.

Finally, with a "thump," he knelt directly in front of Karun. Karun could only habitually move to the side, not accepting Uncle Mason's big gift.

Aunt Winnie dropped her pen directly and walked quickly towards Karun, but accidentally stepped on her own skirt. The quality of the skirt was too good, so it didn't break, but she fell onto the coffee table, her hands barely holding onto the edge to keep from falling.Aunt Mary was supposed to be the calmest one, but after seeing her husband kowtow to his nephew and her sister-in-law fall comically in front of her, she swallowed the apple that she hadn't chewed well in her mouth due to the successive scares, and it got stuck in her throat. She could only grab her own neck with both hands and try to vomit it out.

Without caring to help Uncle and Aunt, Karun rushed directly to Aunt Mary and threw the paint box on the sofa before hugging her from behind.

Then he clenched his fists and used the Heimlich Maneuver to give inward and upward impact to Aunt Mary's upper abdomen.

One, two, three, four!

"Ah!"

Aunt Mary finally yelled and spit out the apple.

Karun breathed a sigh of relief, wiped his forehead with the back of his left hand, and picked up the paint box that he had thrown on the sofa with his right hand, placing it on the coffee table.

"Hoo...hoo...hoo..."

Aunt Mary, who was gasping for breath and holding her chest, turned to Karun. Before she could fully recover, she couldn't wait to ask, "Karun...how was your date yesterday?"

"Dear, are you okay?" Uncle Mason immediately came over to check on his wife's condition.

Aunt Mary pushed her husband away and continued to look at Karun, gesturing for him to answer.

"Right, how was your date yesterday?" Uncle Mason refocused on the key question as soon as he saw that his wife was okay.

Aunt Winnie was tidying her skirt with both hands, but her eyes were fixed on Karun.

Karun was really not expecting his family to care so much about his dating. This was probably due to the expectation and sense of achievement of raising a pig that finally began to eat cabbage. To be honest, Karun was quite moved.

"It was good." Karun answered, feeling that he shouldn't answer so simply. He immediately added, "We went to the amusement park, watched a movie, and then went to eat. It was the Mam Lover's Restaurant recommended by Uncle, which is located by the river, and the environment is really good."

"Then what?" Aunt Winnie asked.

"Right, then what?" Uncle Mason asked.

Aunt Mary spread her hands, "What else did you do?"

"Then it was getting late, so I sent her home."

"What about before you left?" Aunt Winnie asked.

"No, it was at her doorstep." Aunt Mary corrected, "When you arrived at her doorstep and said goodbye, did you do anything?"

Karun licked his lips and could only answer, "I hugged her."

"Yes!" Aunt Mary immediately clenched her fists and waved them, "If a girl is willing to let you hug her at her doorstep, it means she has accepted your relationship!

Because her mother may be secretly watching from the gap in the living room curtains!

If Minna has a boyfriend and he sends her home and they're at her doorstep, I will definitely stand behind the curtains and secretly watch them. I can't even turn on the lights because I'm afraid they'll see my shadow!

But Minna must know that I will be watching, so if she is still willing to let you hug her in this situation, it's almost done, because she is ready to show the development of your relationship to her family.""No, no, no, there's one more difference. Is it a polite hug? Did you initiate it? Is she embarrassed?" Uncle Mason immediately began analyzing the details.

"I hugged her twice."

"Wow! Mr. Karun! Good, very good, very good!"

Uncle Mason raised his palm and repeatedly patted Karun's shoulder, like an old general who had retired from the battlefield and was passing on his legacy to his juniors.

"As expected of a man from our Inmoleis family!"

Karun could only smile politely.

Aunt Winnie began to pray: "Thank God, thank God, our Karun is in love."

Aunt Mary laughed and said, "I told you, our Karun used to be shy and awkward, but now, which woman can resist his charm?"

Karun was a little overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of these elders and could only ask, "Is Grandpa at home?"

"He's in the study on the third floor," Aunt Mary replied.

"Oh, then I'll go see him."

"Okay, okay," Aunt Mary immediately thought of something and asked, "Oh, Karun, there's one more thing."

"What is it, Aunt?"

"How did you go to Mr. Piajay's house to spend the night after your date with Miss Eunice?"

"Because they live on the same street, and Mr. Piajay is a psychology professor, so we..."

"You should stay away from him in the future. Didn't his wife just die? Why does he keep coming to our house to find you?" Aunt Mary reminded him with a frown.

"Yes, yes," Aunt Winnie also echoed, "I heard that those highly educated people like to mess around like that."

Karun's parents died early, and these elders took on the responsibility of Karun's parents. They provided him with a higher standard of living and were sincerely happy for his growth, but they were more afraid that Karun would go astray. They wouldn't be able to face Karun's parents in heaven.

Karun knew they had misunderstood. He and Mr. Piajay were really just friends who shared similar personalities and professions, and he was now...

So Karun could only say, "Mr. Piajay's father is the Minister of Energy and Industry Development of our country."

"A lot can be learned by communicating more with Professor Piajay, I'm sure," Aunt Mary said.

"Someone like Professor Piajay must have good character," Aunt Winnie said.

Uncle Mason chuckled as he watched his wife and sister-in-law change their expressions.

"I'm going to see Grandpa." Karun nodded to the elders and walked up the stairs.

"Don't you think a university professor can't live on Rhine Street?" Uncle Mason laughed.

"Mason."

"Yeah, dear?"

"Why haven't you accompanied me to Mam Couples Restaurant?"

"Uh..."

...

When Karun reached the third floor, he saw Puerh sitting on the windowsill, patting a pot of flowers in front of her with her paws. A lot of petals had fallen on the edge of the windowsill.

This cat was playing with emotions and atmosphere.

"You wicked god." Puerh turned her head and stared at Karun. "How dare you treat me like this."Watching his juniors being hit on by the man in front of him, Karun could only stand by and feel helpless. He had even been dragged back home when he tried to join in as a third wheel. It was unfair, very unfair, and he felt extremely frustrated.

Karun walked over to Puerh and carefully gathered the flower petals on the windowsill into his hands. He sighed as he looked at the petals.

Puerh was confused. "What are you doing?"

"These flowers are too pitiful."

"Huh? No, I'm more pitiful than these flowers!"

"Be gentle with your paws. Look, you've hurt them."

"Are you rehearsing a play?" Puerh asked. "Can't you be normal?"

"I'll go get a small shovel and bury these poor flower petals in the garden."

"You...you...are you crazy?"

Karun slapped his forehead and let the flower petals fall to the ground. He apologized, "Sorry, I'm still immersed in yesterday's atmosphere and can't snap out of it."

"Shameless! Despicable! Lowly! Evil god!" Puerh stood on her hind legs and waved her paws at Karun. "Is this how you use your charm to deceive my poor, innocent junior?"

"Yes, it is."

"Meow, meow, meow!!!" Puerh pounced on Karun, but he didn't move and let Puerh scratch him. He watched as she raised her paw towards him.

Then, Puerh froze. Her raised paw couldn't come down.

For a moment, the atmosphere was awkward, especially for Puerh. Her paw reached out and then retracted, reached out again and then retracted.

"Why don't you dodge?" asked Puerh.

"Why don't you scratch?" replied Karun calmly.

"You're really shameless. You won't even follow the process and let me vent my anger!"

"Heh..." Karun was very calm.

Dis was in the study. Puerh wouldn't dare to scratch his favorite grandson when he was in the middle of a relationship. Karun took Puerh off of him and placed her on the windowsill.

Puerh rubbed her paws on the windowsill and said with a hint of disappointment, "Handsome appearance, mature soul...I don't think my junior can resist you, but I'm still angry. How can you and your grandfather do this?"

Karun sat down on the windowsill and reached out to pat Puerh's head. "Actually, I haven't done anything yet."

"Heh heh." Puerh grinned. "You're deceiving a nineteen-year-old girl for a ticket. Don't you think you're being too much?"

"I'm only sixteen."

"You know what I mean." Puerh stubbornly avoided Karun's hand.

"You know, there are some things that neither you nor I can change." Karun pointed to the door of the study. "Actually, I didn't want to start a relationship so early. I thought I had plenty of time to do some personal things."

Puerh immediately raised her head and stared at Karun. "What do you mean by not wanting to start a relationship? Does my great-great-great-great niece not deserve you?"

"She's a very cute girl. It's comfortable to take a walk with her."

"I don't think you're describing love.""Well, I don't think someone who has never been in love and has been a cat for a hundred years can understand what love is. I even remember that day when someone saw the girl coming and urged me to mate."

"Okay, you can shut up now."

"You're the one playing the sadness first." Karun reminded, "Isn't it good to be a cute and obedient kitty? I have many ways to cook fish here."

Puerh subconsciously swallowed her saliva and licked her lips with her tongue, but still said seriously, "I can't change Dis's decision, I'm clear about that."

"Hmm."

"And I can guess that even if my junior girl doesn't marry you, she won't have the autonomy to choose her own marriage. The reason I ran away from home back then was because my grandfather forced me to go on a blind date."

"Did you break away from the family because of the marriage alliance?"

"That was later. My family got something very important, and then the ambitious people in the family wanted to use it to strengthen the family. They even wanted to establish a god religion dominated by the family. So, I personally stole that thing and destroyed it."

"Okay."

"Don't you ask me why I did that?"

"I'm too lazy to ask."

Karun stood up and prepared to see Dis.

Puerh then grabbed his pants with her paws, "One more thing, say it before you see Dis."

"Okay, what is it?"

"I love my family very much, although I probably don't know anyone in the family now, they are the descendants of my brothers and sisters back then, so they carry the spiritual symbol of my concept of home. Do you understand?"

"I understand."

"So, Karun, when you go to Wien, can you treat my family like you treat the Inmorales family?"

Karun shook his head.

Puerh pouted.

Karun smiled, "The premise is that they treat me as a family member like the people in this family."

After speaking, Karun walked to the door of the study and knocked on it.

"Come in."

...

"How's it going?" Dis looked at his grandson sitting in front of him.

"It's only the first day of the official date." Karun reminded his grandfather.

Dis said calmly, "Love is sometimes determined in a moment."

Karun felt that his grandfather's words made sense. In normal circumstances, falling in love is like a turtle seeing a mung bean, once you have eye contact, you start.

As for the kind of chasing game, the warm and cold, the back and forth, it often only moves oneself unilaterally.

Even if the "chase" and "grind" are successful in the end, in most cases, it is because the other party has no better choice and can only accept it reluctantly.

It must be said that the men of the Inmorales family have always had great confidence in this regard.

"So, what's your answer?" Dis asked.

"I think it's a good start, for both of us." Karun said.

"Well, very good. Invite her to come home for dinner in a few days."

"Isn't it too fast?" Karun asked.

Last time, the family was empty, and they came to visit the family. But what his grandfather said was obviously like asking the girl to formally meet the parents.Dis took a sip of tea. "Her family will also urge her."

Karun nodded. "I understand."

The dignified elders of both families had already reached an understanding. The younger generation had little choice, if any at all, and there was hardly any room for free love ideology and cognition, even for Karun, who had a wealth of such ideas. Upon learning of Dis's intentions, he could only choose to go on a blind date and take the initiative to contact the other party. There was naturally no "way out" for the woman's side.

Therefore, under these circumstances, it was really rare and even a great stroke of luck to meet someone who made oneself feel comfortable. One should be content.

"Oh, by the way, Grandpa, I know who the demon you said was going to help us clean up is."

"Oh?"

Dis was obviously not surprised and there was nothing to be surprised about.

"Is the Wall God Sect taboo?"

"Not strictly speaking, no. Because the main inheritance of the Wall God Sect has long been broken, so ordinary followers of the Wall God Sect scattered around the world will not encounter any suppression or persecution. However, there will always be some people who preserve or inherit the inheritance of the Wall God Sect. Although their number is small, they have always been the target of the Order God Sect's attacks. Because the true god of the Wall God Sect, Rui Liersa, was personally suppressed by the Order God."

If the boss suppresses someone else's boss, then the underlings below will naturally exterminate the other's underlings.

"Why?" Karun asked.

"Because Rui Liersa attempted to paint the final mural for the Order God, which angered the Order God."

"I see."

When someone is at their peak, you go and predict when they will fall. It's no wonder that they would be suppressed.

"Have you finished reading those books on the overview of various religions?"

"Just finished the first reading." Karun replied.

"Read them carefully and choose one for me." Dis took out a purple bookmark and placed it in front of Karun. "Write the name of that church on this bookmark."

Karun held the bookmark in his hand. "Then I really have to take a closer look, because I don't know which church I'm more interested in, and I can't say which one I like the most for now."

"No, you've got it wrong." Dis shook his head.

"Hmm?"

Dis looked at Karun and said calmly, "Choose a church you dislike the most."

Karun was stunned, and the chapter from the myth of the "Light of Order" he had read came to mind:

"When the daughter of the Order God, Ankara, was angry about a small matter, the Order God gave her a bookmark and asked her to write down the name of the god she hated the most. Soon, that god fell. Then, Ankara laughed."
