Nangong Jing looked around and suddenly realized that the area was littered with corpses. Rivers of blood flowed, creating a scene that could only be described as a mountain of bodies and a sea of blood.
Atop the pile of corpses was a chair, and seated upon it was the Rakshasa Hall Master. A golden mask obscured his face, making it impossible to discern his expression. Yet, his eyes, cold as ice, sent chills down one's spine at a mere glance.
Nangong Jing quickly shut her eyes. Despite the terrifying scene before her, she maintained her composure. Once her eyes were closed, the unsettling feeling finally dissipated.
Chou Hentian, walking ahead, naturally noticed Nangong Jing's actions. A flicker of surprise and astonishment crossed his eyes. Most people, upon seeing the Rakshasa Hall Master, would be scared out of their wits, perhaps even kneel. Yet, Nangong Jing managed to avert her gaze so swiftly, refusing to look at the Hall Master. Her strong willpower truly amazed him.
