Chapter 39 – Fear of the Bone Manipulator

A Giant Mammoth falls, and a Skeleton Mammoth rises.

Under the mass revival of the Bone Revivers, the number of Skeleton Mammoths rapidly increases.

Only then does the Demigod Elephant Lord realize the crisis.

"Damn skeletons, like sticky gum you can't shake off. But don't think this will make a demigod submit!" the Elephant Lord mutters, issuing a divine decree: "Giant War Mammoths, activate ability: War Stomp!"

Two hundred and fifty Giant War Mammoths immediately have their eyes turn red, charging forward, their four legs pounding the ground.

The Skeleton Mammoths in their path are shattered by the shockwave of the War Stomp, reduced to a field of broken bones.

Even the Giant Thunder Mammoth is affected by the War Stomp, its shadow freed from the Shadow Spike's restraints, regaining its ability to move.

With this, the Elephant Lord's advantage returns.

"Elephant Lord, mighty and powerful, crush them, crush those skeletons!" The audience, infected by the momentum of the Giant Mammoth legion, cheers for the Elephant Lord.

On Han Wu's side, he orders the Bull Demon Race to retreat.

The Bone Manipulator steps forward to battle.

Its original form is small, but with each step it takes, its form grows larger.

All the broken bones of the Skeleton Mammoths are absorbed by the Bone Manipulator.

Soon, a 20-meter-tall Bone Giant takes shape.

Its massive body, twice the height of the Giant Thunder Mammoth, silences the audience.

They seem to recall the terror of the Bone Manipulator from the promotional clips of the Abyss battlefield.

Seeing the enormous body of the Bone Giant, cold sweat forms on the Elephant Lord's forehead.

The combat power of the strongest hero lifeform is not just talk; it is the experience summarized by the Divine Realm civilization after billions of wars.

He now regrets not destroying the Bone Manipulator at all costs when he first learned that Han Wu possessed the hero lifeform: Bone Manipulator.

But now it's too late for regrets, and the Elephant Lord has no choice but to fight.

He gathers the last of his divine power and casts another divine spell.

Savage Divine Spell: Amplification!

The Amplification spell consumes too much divine power, and the Elephant Lord can only cast it on his sole hero lifeform: the Giant Thunder Mammoth.

With the spell's enhancement, the Giant Thunder Mammoth's size increases dramatically.

In the blink of an eye, it grows to match the height of the Bone Giant.

To prevent the collateral damage of the giant creatures' battle, Han Wu and the Elephant Lord tacitly have their other followers move away from the central battlefield, clearing a space for the two to fight.

With no reservations, the two engage in combat.

The Giant Thunder Mammoth launches a Thunder Charge, its tusks crackling with lightning, piercing into the Bone Giant's body at high speed.

Two large gashes are torn open on the Bone Giant, with faint electric sparks flickering at the edges.

But this damage is nothing to the Bone Giant.

Instead, it seizes the opportunity to attack. It grabs the Giant Thunder Mammoth's long trunk and, under the watchful eyes of the audience, performs an over-the-shoulder throw.

This over-the-shoulder throw is not an ordinary one; it's a skill with added damage.

It is one of the ten level-one melee skills Han Wu specifically purchased to enhance the Bone Giant's close combat abilities.

After mastering the ten melee skills, the Bone Manipulator's original form remains weak, but when combined into the Bone Giant, its power surges, and its destructive force multiplies.

The Giant Thunder Mammoth is the first test subject for the Bone Manipulator to prove its strength.

The blood armor on the Giant Thunder Mammoth shatters as it hits the ground, but its body suffers little damage.

This novel is available on bit.ly/3iBfjkV.

It tries to stand up and continue fighting the Bone Giant, but the Bone Giant gives it no chance.

The Bone Giant sidesteps and mounts the Giant Thunder Mammoth, pounding its massive fists on the mammoth's head.

It uses skills once again.

Level-one skill: Heavy Punch.

After taking several punches, the Giant Thunder Mammoth gathers enough strength to roll over and stand, planning to retaliate with a Thunder Stomp combo as the Bone Giant is thrown off.

But it doesn't expect the Bone Giant to be so cunning.

After being thrown to the ground, it uses another level-one skill: Roll, to escape the Giant Thunder Mammoth's attack range, then follows up with a powerful flying kick, knocking the Giant Thunder Mammoth down again.

Then it mounts the Giant Thunder Mammoth once more, raining punches on its face.

After several punches, one of the Giant Thunder Mammoth's tusks, a symbol of its identity, is snapped off by the Bone Giant.

The Elephant Lord is dumbfounded.

He never imagined that his painstakingly nurtured hero lifeform, the Giant Thunder Mammoth, would be so fragile in front of the Bone Giant.

The Giant Thunder Mammoth is equally stunned.

As a hero lifeform, it has developed its own intelligence.

Having its tusk broken is an utter disgrace for it.

It frantically tries to fight back, but the Bone Giant evades with a roll, then finds an opportunity to kick it down again, continuing to pummel its face with heavy punches.

And each move targets its other tusk, seemingly intending to break it as well.

This fight is turning into a spectacle.

Even Han Wu didn't expect the Bone Manipulator to have such a deep understanding of close combat skills.

Not only can it learn and apply them effectively, but it also adds its own unique insights.

It's like it has turned close combat into a form of highway robbery.

While fighting, it doesn't forget to snatch something from its opponent.

It's impressive!

Han Wu is quite satisfied with this.

At the same time, he looks at another Skeleton Race hero lifeform.

Back then, he had them both improve their survival skills; the Bone Manipulator learned close combat skills, while the Bone Reviver learned defensive skills.

He wonders how well the Bone Reviver has learned.

Han Wu is a bit expectant.

While Han Wu is pondering, the Bone Giant finally breaks the Giant Thunder Mammoth's other tusk.

The Giant Thunder Mammoth uses brute force to break free from the Bone Giant's control once more.

But instead of continuing to attack, it retreats to the Elephant Lord's side like a wronged spouse.

Its thick skin and tough body mean the injuries aren't severe.

But with both tusks broken, the Giant Thunder Mammoth has lost its dignity and refuses to continue fighting.

The Elephant Lord didn't expect this situation either. He comforts the Giant Thunder Mammoth while commanding the Giant Mammoths to encircle the Bone Giant, seeking revenge for the Giant Thunder Mammoth.

One-on-one, they can't win, so they resort to the simplest yet most effective method: encirclement.

Even if it takes time, they will exhaust the Bone Giant!
