Rode never expected Asa to come up with this idea. He truly hadn't considered such a thing and couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you planning to let the black mist engulf all living beings and let darkness rule the world?"
Asa sneered, "Lord Rode, during the time I was trapped in the dreamscape, I studied my soul countless times. My thoughts gradually broke free from instinctual constraints, like a hot iron plunged into ice water, calming down. When I looked back at everything, I found it so awkward and contradictory."
Rode frowned, "What do you mean?"
Asa's soul swelled, speaking in a highly mocking tone, "As an immortal soul, I've reincarnated countless times. Each rebirth leads me down the same path—betrayal, hiding, scheming, ultimately being killed by humans, or monsters after the city's fall, or being eroded by the black mist, drifting back to the Spirit World until the next soul formation."
