Chapter 15 – Tentatively

This attribute is really fierce. Now, the monsters in the Novice Village pose no threat to me. It's just a pity that I can't farm talents anymore. I need to quickly level up to 10 and head to the Main City.

Let's go back and store the skills and weapons first. In the game, every player has an exclusive warehouse where they can store items they don't currently need. The warehouse has a hundred slots, and you can pay to expand it if needed. All cities are interconnected, meaning items stored in the Novice Village can be retrieved in the Main City. You also don't have to worry about losing items stored in the warehouse.

While I'm at it, I'll hand in the Wild Boar and Toad tasks. As for those temporary monster-hunting tasks, forget it. I don't need those Copper Coins right now.

Wu Shaochen was in a great mood, and with light steps, he quickly returned to the Novice Village. He found the Warehouse Manager and stored the skill books and weapons, then located the Farmer to submit the Wild Boar task, earning 500 experience and 200 Copper Coins.

Next, he found the Old Healer in the village and submitted 50 toad salivas, gaining 800 experience and 300 Copper Coins. Completing these two tasks netted him 1,300 experience and 500 Copper Coins. Honestly, doing tasks does help you level up faster, but unfortunately, each task can only be done once.

At the pharmacy, he reluctantly spent 10 Silver Coins to buy 20 bottles of Medium Red Potion: 50 health points per second for 10 seconds. 50 Copper Coins per bottle, as expensive as ever.

After buying the potions, Wu Shaochen was about to head out to hunt Silver Wolves when he saw a woman with a white veil walking towards him.

"This woman has quite the aura, but it's a shame I can't see her face," Wu Shaochen thought to himself.

The woman walked straight up to Wu Shaochen and tentatively asked, "Chen Feng?"

Wu Shaochen was taken aback. How did she recognize me? Or is she trying to trick me?

Though surprised, Wu Shaochen didn't show it and calmly replied, "Miss, you have the wrong person."

Su Muxue looked intently at the man in front of her, trying to discern something from his face, but he remained calm and showed no signs of anything unusual.

"Could I have guessed wrong?" Su Muxue thought to herself, then apologized, "Sorry, I might have mistaken you for someone else."

"Well, if there's nothing else, I'll be on my way." With that, Wu Shaochen bypassed the woman and continued walking.

"Hey, wait," Su Muxue quickly said, "Can we add each other as friends?"

Whether or not he was Chen Feng, this person was likely a strong player, and for someone like her who wanted to develop in the game, it was worth making connections.

A beautiful woman wanting to add him as a friend almost made Wu Shaochen nod in agreement, but then he remembered that once they were friends, she could see his information, and she would know he was Chen Feng.

"Forget it, women only slow down my blade," Wu Shaochen thought, waving his hand and saying, "Let's not add each other as friends. Maybe if we meet again next time." Then he left.

"Uh," Su Muxue was left bewildered, just like that?

She secretly sent a friend request back, only to receive a notification, "The other party has set their account to not accept friend requests from strangers."

Su Muxue frowned. This was the same notification she got when she tried to add Chen Feng's ID as a friend.

"Coincidence? Or do all experts like to set it this way?" Su Muxue pondered.

Watching Wu Shaochen's departing figure, her eyes narrowed, "That speed...!"

After running out of the village, Wu Shaochen was still filled with doubt. "Why did she suspect me? Both times I returned to the Novice Village, I had unequipped my gear. I shouldn't have exposed any flaws."

At this moment, a figure suddenly appeared behind Su Muxue, clearly just logging in. He walked up to Su Muxue and said, "Young Miss, the master has agreed to my suggestion to develop well in Oracle. Soon, the master will arrange for a large number of game elites to enter the game. The master instructed us not to be afraid to spend money in the early stages to ensure we stay ahead of others, so we can secure more development opportunities later."

"Yes, keep an eye on the Auction House, especially Chen Feng's equipment. Make sure to grab it as soon as possible," Su Muxue instructed.

"Chen Feng? The one who first killed the Boar King? Young Miss, do you suspect that person is the one selling high-attribute equipment in our Novice Village?" Uncle Liu asked.

"It should be. No other Novice Village has anyone selling high-level equipment yet. If someone could kill the Boar King, it's likely someone from our Novice Village, and I might have guessed who it is," Su Muxue replied.

"Really? If that's the case, does the Young Miss have a way to bring him over to our side? Having such an expert with us would be immensely beneficial for our business development," Uncle Liu said excitedly.

"I'll try my best," Su Muxue said softly, though she wasn't confident at all.

Wu Shaochen headed straight to Silver Wolf Valley. The level 10 Silver Wolves, which were once insurmountable for him, now posed no pressure.

He directly lured out a Silver Wolf and swiftly struck it twice. Now that he could stack two layers of poison, he couldn't waste it. Two layers of poison dealt 46 damage per second, and a Silver Wolf with 6,000 health could be dealt with in just over two minutes. As for taking two hits, it was only 200 damage, and with his current 6 health regeneration per second out of combat, 200 health was nothing.

Then Wu Shaochen activated the infinite monster farming mode. Once he decided to focus on leveling up, his speed was quite fast. Including luring monsters, it took him two hours to reach level 8. His health reached 640, mana reached 130, and the rest remained unchanged. He didn't allocate his attribute points yet, planning to adjust them based on the attributes of the next monsters he would face. He wasn't in a hurry for those points.

Perhaps because the Boar King dropped too many items, aside from the guaranteed 5 Copper Coins and a wolf tooth from each Silver Wolf, he only got one piece of equipment after killing over fifty Silver Wolves in two hours, and it was a bracelet he didn't need.

[Silver Wolf Bracelet]

Quality: Blank Slate

Attack +10

Attack Speed +1%

Requirement: None

Honestly, he was really unimpressed with this attribute. He wasn't sure if others would feel the same, but with two pieces of Black Iron Tier equipment, Wu Shaochen was starting to be picky and didn't care for these blank slate items. He casually put it up in the Auction House in bidding mode, letting others bid for it. He didn't care how much it sold for.

At this time, in the Wild Boar Forest, Junlin and his group finally took down a Wild Boar and saw some equipment. As expected, it was the same Wild Boar equipment most frequently listed in the Auction House.

"It seems those items are indeed dropped by Wild Boars. But I still can't understand how he could handle Wild Boars when we were still fighting Goats. Even now, at level 5 with full gear, it's still quite challenging for us," Haoran said.

"Who knows, but at least we're catching up now. With our strength, we'll eventually catch up," Nanfeng said.

"It might still be a while before we catch up. Check the Auction House," Junlin said quietly.

"Hmm?" The two quickly opened the Auction House.

"Holy crap, [Silver Wolf Bracelet]? Could it be dropped by level 10 Silver Wolves?" Haoran exclaimed.

"Be confident, remove 'could it be.' If he really killed the Boar King, then killing level 10 Silver Wolves would be a piece of cake," Nanfeng said.

"Monster!"
