This vast marshland was like an ocean, only that there were clusters of underwater mountains, unlike the flat seabed. The merfolk built fortresses along the mountains, cultivated aquatic plants, and herded schools of fish and sea beasts.

The houses of the merfolk resembled Mongolian yurts and igloos, with a dome-shaped roof and an arched protruding door. However, not all lived in such houses. Some merfolk lived along the mountains, carving caves into the underwater rocks and residing within.

Inside, pearls shone brightly, making it look like high-rise buildings from the previous life when viewed from the outside.
