A night elf warlock was diligently cleansing a patch of land tainted by fel energy. This fel energy was the residue of the Dark Titan Sargeras. Although most of it had been cleared by the guardians, some remnants still lingered around the main city. If left unchecked, it would corrupt the land, requiring the elves to deal with it.
