Many readers have given feedback that the update frequency of this book is somewhat lacking, significantly less than my previous work, "The Daily Life of the Time Dragon."

Let me explain. Yes, it is indeed the case.

But the reason for fewer updates isn't what everyone might think.

It's not because I'm lacking passion for writing this book.

Saga's character design isn't the mainstream protagonist template, and his acceptance is somewhat lower compared to Galon. However, I personally like Saga's character a lot, and I don't want to write a cookie-cutter protagonist. To summarize Saga's character in one sentence, it would be... "A fierce tiger at heart, yet smelling the roses delicately"?

It's also not because the book's performance is poor.

Although the performance of this book is slightly worse than "The Daily Life of the Time Dragon," I'm still quite satisfied with it. After all, it's still a quality work, and a significant part of the reason for its lower performance is the insufficient updates.

The most crucial reason is... my life has been quite busy lately, and, ahem, I, the author, want to slack off a bit.

Readers who have been following both books should know that the author is in a relationship.

We've been together for seven or eight years since our freshman year, and our relationship is still as fresh as the first love. We haven't felt any boredom with each other, and we're getting engaged this New Year and will soon get married.

Both of our families are quite average; we're both kids from the countryside. Our parents can't prepare a house or a car for us; there's only an old house in the village. If we want a better life, we need to strive for it ourselves.

My partner is a teacher with a stable income, but as a teacher in a regular county, the income is, to put it mildly, not great. Economically, I still need to bear the main responsibility.

Buying a car, constantly looking at houses, making money—it's all quite exhausting for me.

Logically, to make money, I should be working twice as hard on writing.

However, I have some author friends who are already married. From what I understand, every single one of them is a writing machine, with some even working on three books at once to make money, and they're exhausted.

Thinking about these predecessors makes me break out in a cold sweat.

Although I want a good life, the contradiction is that I'm not particularly driven or ambitious. So, I want to take it easy while I'm still unmarried, with not much life pressure, and while I still have a choice. That's why my writing pace has slowed down.

Once I'm married and have no other options, I'll write like crazy.
