Chapter 12

Eight shots, five missed the target, three hit the bull's-eye. This result was quite dramatic.

As Gao Guang put the empty gun on the table, someone suddenly said, "Is he controlling the target? He's controlling the target! He's definitely controlling the target!"

No one knew who said it, but someone mentioned controlling the target.

The staff sighed and said to Gao Guang, "Buddy, if you don't particularly like the SW1911, then you don't want John's gun. Anyway, you won, three hits on the bull's-eye, five missed the target...it was a beautiful shot."

In shooting competitions, controlling the gun means controlling the shooting posture of the gun. As long as you shoot, you need to control the gun. This is the basic skill of all shooters, just like running requires two legs.

But controlling the target is different. Controlling the target means hitting the bull's-eye as many times as you want. Only then can you truly be said to be controlling the target.

"Is this guy joking? He's just randomly shooting, his shooting method is completely chaotic, and he can still control the target?"

"I've never seen anything like this in my life."

Several onlookers began to discuss in the background. They thought Gao Guang's shooting style was unscientific, irregular, incorrect, and just plain wrong. But if he could achieve the effect of controlling the target, then it was unreasonable.

As everyone knows, no matter what you're competing in, it's easy to lose, and it's a bit difficult to win. To win perfectly, you must be a master. To win in any way you want, you must be a super master.

It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from "p𝑎wread.com".

But Gao Guang really didn't know how he shot. His hands were numb, his mind was numb, and honestly, he was just blindly shooting.

Gao Guang looked at John, and John looked at Gao Guang.

After staring at each other for a moment, Gao Guang said softly, "Um, actually..."

"Will, do you have this gun in stock?"

"Yes, but only one. Do you really want to buy it?"

Ignoring the staff, John said to Gao Guang, "Keep shooting your bullets, I'll go pay and handle the procedures."

Then John left, and Gao Guang opened his mouth, saying to the staff, "Do you believe me if I said I was just guessing? Do you believe it was a coincidence? It really was just a coincidence."

Awkwardly and politely smiling, the staff said, "Do you want to keep shooting? Um, we can order the left-handed version of the SW1911, and when John's gun purchase qualification is approved, the gun will arrive."

"I'm not really left-handed, and it was really my first time shooting. I...never mind."

Gao Guang decided to give the money to John. He was going to buy a Glock anyway, although it wasn't appropriate to say so now.

Just buy a more expensive gun, today's events were inexplicable anyway, so just leave it at that. After firing a few more shots, Gao Guang finally decided to give up. Although he was reluctant, it was pretty stupid to injure his arm on his first try.

Following the staff out of the indoor shooting range, they arrived at the reception room to complete the paperwork to get the guns. John's information was also filled out.

John simply said, "Are we not going to shoot anymore? Let's go to Walmart and then I'll take you to the company."

Why did things suddenly turn out this way? It felt awkward, but Gao Guang was really confused. He wanted to explain something, but he found that there was nothing to explain.

After getting into the car, Gao Guang wanted to say something, but John interrupted him, "I bet with you that I brought it up. Don't say anything, it's only a little over a thousand yuan. I can afford to lose and pay, that's it."

Gao Guang had nothing to say. He rubbed his face and smiled helplessly, while John continued, "The shooting range today was too small. Tomorrow, I'll take you to the outdoor shooting range in the suburbs. You like playing with guns, right? I'll take you to shoot rifles tomorrow. You can shoot whatever gun you want."

John's tone sounded normal, but the content seemed a bit resentful.

Gao Guang cautiously said, "John, I'm not... I didn't... I really fired a gun for the first time. I really don't know how I did it. You have to believe me."

John nodded and calmly said, "I'm looking forward to seeing how you shoot a rifle tomorrow. Oh, don't worry, I won't bet with you or compete with you. I'm just curious. You're a genius, after all."

Gao Guang felt that John shouldn't be so petty. He didn't offend John, but why did he feel that John's words were full of sarcasm?

It was better not to say anything. Gao Guang felt that it was best to remain silent at this time.

The atmosphere was a bit strange, but everything went smoothly and normally. They went to the supermarket to buy things, and John still helped pay with his card. When they finished shopping and went to eat, John happily accepted Gao Guang's treat.

When they arrived at the company, it was already dark outside. However, the crucial thing was that in the end, John didn't ask to spar with Gao Guang or anything. It was as if he had forgotten about wanting to learn a few moves from Gao Guang. He just left after giving some instructions.

Gao Guang was left alone in the company. He didn't have the energy to explore or visit the company. After tidying up the mess, Gao Guang, who was exhausted, looked at the time and finally connected his phone to WiFi and sent a video to his father.

He was tired, but when the video call connected, Gao Guang was excited and didn't show any signs of exhaustion."Dad, my phone card doesn't work when I'm abroad. The hotel I stayed at yesterday didn't have WiFi, so I couldn't message you. I changed to a new hotel with WiFi today, so we can video call if anything comes up."

Gao Guang's tone was relaxed and joyful, as if he was too excited and forgot to call home.

"Why didn't you call? Your mom was so worried. Are you okay over there?"

Gao Guang didn't plan to tell his dad that he had already arrived in Los Angeles. He didn't have a good explanation yet, but he would tell them in a few days.

For now, he just wanted to let them know he was safe. "I'm fine. Don't worry. Everything's good here."

After chatting for a bit, they ended the video call. Gao Guang's excitement disappeared, and he immediately lay down on the bed.

He was too tired and just wanted to sleep. He didn't want to think about anything else.

But just as he closed his eyes, he suddenly remembered something important. He quickly sat up and grabbed his bag.

He took out the phone that the captain gave him, deleted the video, and restored the phone to its factory settings to make sure there was no evidence left. Then he could finally lay down and went to sleep almost immediately.
