Jick seemed to be tailing someone.
He moved in fits and starts, occasionally using obstacles to hide. His tracking skills were far from masterful.
He had pulled the collar of his trench coat high and wore a uniquely designed pair of wind goggles that covered most of his face. Su'en recognized them as the windproof gear from the inflatable life raft he had given Jick before, confirming his identity.
Su'en noticed Jick's limping gait and realized the man had lost a leg. The footprints on the ground alternated between a boot print and a round hole. Upon closer inspection, Su'en saw that Jick's left leg was replaced with a wooden peg leg.
