Chapter 101 – Disaster

Qiao Jiajin immediately retracted his hand after hearing this.

But the slight force he had added to the rope when he touched it was enough to break the eerie balance.

The hole on one side kept emitting a loud chain sound, causing the rope to tremble continuously.

Qi Xia immediately picked up a table board from the ground and shouted, "Han Yimo, come behind me!"

Han Yimo hurriedly ran behind Qi Xia and grabbed his clothes, looking very nervous.

"Murphy's Law...?"

Qi Xia kept moving the table board towards the side away from the hole, and Han Yimo kept moving behind him.

In theory, Qi Xia and the hole were no longer in a vertical relationship, and the harpoon shot from inside could not possibly fly towards them, let alone harm Han Yimo behind him. But Qi Xia felt inexplicably uneasy.

Qiao Jiajin, standing next to the hole, was puzzled by Qi Xia's behavior. He looked at the rope, then at Qi Xia, and asked in confusion, "What are you up to, kid?"

"Qiao Jiajin, stay away from there, there's another harpoon, be careful not to get hurt!" Qi Xia replied seriously.

As soon as he finished speaking, there was a sudden loud noise from the hole, and two harpoons shot out at the same time.

The first one was the intruder who had accidentally shot into the hole before, and the second one was obviously the original one that had been charging up.

"Swish"!!

Everything happened in a split second.

After the first harpoon shot out of the hole, it flew directly to the side and weakly landed on the ground.

The second harpoon, however, gathered all its strength and suddenly flew towards the other side, far from Qi Xia.

Seeing the trajectory of the harpoon was not towards him, Qi Xia felt somewhat relieved, but then he saw the harpoon accurately hit the mantel clock still standing in the room.

This mantel clock had been an important tool for everyone to know the time for a long time, but now it had become a springboard for the messenger of hell.

The sound of metal colliding with metal exploded, and countless sparks flew.

No one knew what material the clock was made of, but it remained standing after being hit by the harpoon, yet the harpoon changed direction due to the impact.

Like a snake suddenly discovering its prey, it turned abruptly and charged towards Han Yimo behind Qi Xia.

The harpoon flew close to the ground, almost skimming it the whole way. Seeing this, Qi Xia immediately pushed Han Yimo back and confronted it with the table board.

Judging by the harpoon's current trajectory, it would definitely hit the table board before reaching Han Yimo.

Just as the harpoon and the table board were about to collide, the harpoon hit the ground, and the rebound force made it instantly leap up.

This incredible trajectory made it leap over Qi Xia, then hit the ceiling the next second, and after changing direction again, it rushed towards Han Yimo behind Qi Xia without hesitation.

In everyone's eyes, this harpoon was like a lightning bolt bending and advancing, avoiding all obstacles and heading straight for the target.

As Han Yimo had said, he was definitely going to be hit by the harpoon.

The harpoon's every move was so bizarre, and its target from start to finish was Han Yimo.

Qi Xia knew that he couldn't possibly move the table board between them in the blink of an eye, and his expression was already somewhat desperate.

No one could save Han Yimo now, even if there was a one in a million chance, he would have to dodge it himself.

But seeing him so nervous and trembling, it seemed he couldn't even move, and this time he was going to die.

Just as the harpoon was less than five centimeters away from Han Yimo, Qiao Jiajin, standing next to the hole, suddenly reached out and grabbed the rope that was jetting out of the hole, then pulled it back violently.

The rope pulled the harpoon, and everything changed.

His speed was so fast that the harpoon, which was moving at high speed, instantly lost its balance like a flower blown by a strong wind.

The harpoon finally stopped advancing and fell to the ground, swaying in mid-air for a few moments before dropping.

The events of this split second were too thrilling, and everyone stopped breathing.

After a while, Han Yimo sat down on the ground, his clothes soaked with sweat.

Qiao Jiajin looked at the rope in his hand and grumbled, "Is this harpoon here to dance? Running around in the house, running my ass."

Qi Xia put down the table board and came to Han Yimo, helping him up and asking, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine... I'm really fine now... You saved my life, thank you so much... Qi Xia, you're my savior..."

Qi Xia held Han Yimo's hand for a moment and found that he was no longer trembling.

"So that's how it is..."

He nodded silently, and now he probably guessed what "inviting disaster" meant.

"Next... are you still afraid?" Qi Xia asked.

"A little... but not particularly scared." Han Yimo forced a bitter smile and said, "Knowing that you're in the next game, I feel more at ease..."

Hearing this, Qi Xia felt that saving Han Yimo was indeed the right decision.

Although the full ability of "inviting disaster" was not clear, at the moment, he could predict the danger that was about to happen by judging Han Yimo's level of fear.

If he brought Han Yimo to confront the Chinese Zodiac signs, Qi Xia should be able to judge the danger of the game by his level of fear, and if things went smoothly, he could find out whether he could gamble with the opponent.

Of course, all of this was just wishful thinking. The most urgent thing was to lead Han Yimo to survive.

From this moment on, he no longer needed to save those unimportant people.

The upcoming "death from above" and "right or wrong," even if only a few people could pass, it didn't matter."Officer Li," Qi Xia called out, "what were you saying about the harpoon just now?"

"Oh..." Officer Li snapped back to reality and quickly played along, "There are characters on this harpoon, come take a look!"

Pretending to scrutinize the harpoon, Qi Xia spoke, "I see, now I understand. Everyone, it seems that the 'Goat of Human' has become the questioner this time, but the 'Goat of Human' is known to lie..."

He shared his deductions with everyone in detail and then walked straight to the hole in the center of the room.

He knew that the floor would collapse in a few minutes, and at that moment, a rope would fall from the hole in the ceiling, saving their lives.

Qi Xia's intention in revealing his deductions was merely to save some of the people.

But to his surprise, everyone was convinced by his words.

When Qi Xia stood under the hole, the first to join him was Xiao Ran.

At that moment, Xiao Ran showed an admiring expression, almost unconditionally believing what Qi Xia had said.

Perhaps it was because Qi Xia's performance had been impeccable on several occasions, which had sparked feelings of admiration in Xiao Ran.

"Brother Qi, I don't know why, but I have a special trust in you!" Xiao Ran said with a flattering tone.

"Heh," Qi Xia chuckled coldly, "then I really should thank you."
