Vol.2 - Chapter 26 – Zhou Kuo'er: Mr. Mason's medicine is so great that I can't help but want to give him a gift--

(More updates for "Reckless Summer" brothers))

Mason stayed up all night again, and in the early morning of the second day, he drank a bottle of high-level vitality potion to revive himself instantly, then took a shower and rushed to the clinic across the street on time.

Of course, he couldn't avoid being nagged by Dr. Leslie.

But the doctor, who had a cold face and a warm heart, didn't really drive Mason out of the clinic. After all, it was not easy to find an employee who was so proactive.

Moreover, Dr. Leslie had seen the whole process of Mason curing Batman. Although she was not interested in mysterious alchemy, it was not a bad thing to keep Mason in the clinic.

In case she encountered a patient she couldn't treat, the practical Dr. Leslie didn't mind using powers beyond science to heal and save people.

But today, Gotham was really calm and confusing.

After taking care of all the dressing and changing work in the clinic, Mason actually had some free time. He sat in the nurse's rest room and looked out at the city with some confusion.

This shouldn't be the case!

It has been two days since Batman was attacked.

Why can those guys who attacked Batman still suppress their anger? Shouldn't they immediately start a bloody storm in this city under such circumstances?

A quick look at tinyurl.com/2p9emv8w will leave you more fulfilled.

"Are you free?"

Dr. Leslie, who was dressed in a surgical gown and seemed to be going into the operating room, suddenly pushed open the door and saw Mason who was slacking off. She raised her eyebrows and said, "Go and tidy up and help in the emergency room. We just sent a patient who needs surgery. Can you sew?"

"I've practiced."

Mason immediately got up and followed her.

Thirty minutes later, he and the doctor walked out of the emergency room and were scolded by the doctor:

"Compared with your perfect dressing skills, your sewing skills are as bad as an intern! Follow me, I'll only teach you once. If you still can't learn, I will deduct your salary!"

Mason thought to himself that the sewing just now was not outstanding, but it was still an excellent evaluation. It was impossible to be worse than an intern.

But when faced with the doctor who wanted to teach him something, Mason naturally would not refuse.

He followed her and learned for almost an hour, then went to the kitchen to work as a chef until the end of work in the afternoon. That's how this day passed.

Mason, who had learned many new skills, was in a good mood and felt that Dr. Leslie was really a good teacher. He carried his suitcase and left the clinic, crossing the street to his own small house.

But before he could open the door, a small car stopped behind him with a sharp sound.

"You almost hit me!"

Mason frowned and reprimanded, but as a golden-haired girl walked out of the car apologizing repeatedly, Mason's anger dissipated.

It was not because he treated her differently.

Mainly because he had to thank this female driver for not killing him.

"Why is it you?"

The young man opened the shutter door of Cooper's small shop and looked at Harley Quinn, who was wearing sportswear in front of him, with a strange tone and some guilty conscience, "Is there something wrong with the medicine? Are you here to complain to me?"

"No, no! There's no problem!"

Dr. Harley Quinn was quite excited, but she felt that it was not a place to talk on the street, so she pulled Mason into the shop and closed the door. Then she said with joy, "Your medicine is very useful! I tried it on several of my patients last night, except for Mr. J who was very resistant, the performance of other patients was excellent last night.

But I have a lot of patients to take care of, so the potion has been used up, and I came to you to get some more.""Mister J is very resistant to the Joker?"

Mason raised his eyebrows and placed his suitcase on the counter, then asked:

"Why is he resistant? Is it because the potion doesn't work on him?"

"No, it works very well, even too well," Harley the doctor replied with a drooping face. "I gave him a sedative, and he said he did feel relaxed, but the feeling of calmness made him nauseous. Then he showed very manic symptoms, and I had to give him two doses of tranquilizer. The effect was excellent. He soon became obedient. In fact, even the dean said he had never seen Mister J cooperate so well. I was observing him all night. He seems to be resistant to that kind of relaxing feeling. He resisted sleeping and asked me to get out of his ward. Helpless, I had to use the ecstasy drug on him again, hoping to make him feel excited and happy.

And then... he hit his head on the toilet and tried to commit suicide."

Harley the doctor was very frustrated when she said this. She even turned red-eyed and said in a low voice:

"But I know that it's not your medicine's problem, Mason. Mister J just doesn't like the positive happiness that can make ordinary people happy. He is a person who pursues chaos, and things that can make ordinary people happy are the most terrible poison to him. He hates me now. After he was rescued from the failed suicide attempt, he asked the dean to change his attending doctor and yelled at me, saying he never wanted to see this 'witch' again. Mason, do you think I'm really annoying?"

The girl seemed to be hit hard. She looked up at Mason pitifully, like a cat begging for a touch. Mason wanted to say something to comfort this poor woman abandoned by the Joker.

But in the next moment, Mason's expression became strange.

Last night, because of the darkness and the light, he didn't pay much attention to Harley Quinzel's eyes. But now it was dusk, and under natural light, Mason quickly noticed some peculiarities in her eyes.

There were obvious signs of dullness in Harley Quinzel's pupils, which reminded him of some symptoms of "charm" and "hypnosis" he had seen in the Encyclopedia of Magic Drugs.

"You, come here and sit!"

Mason pulled a chair over and made the female doctor in front of him sit down. He bent down and carefully examined her eyes, saying:

"Take off your glasses."

"Hmm? Is there a problem?"

Harley obediently took off her glasses and blinked her pretty blue eyes.

Now Mason could see more clearly. The dullness in her pupils and her entire lively cheek expression formed a sharp and strange contrast, making Mason's eyebrows furrow tighter.

After a moment, he reached for the lapel pin on his collar and injected a little scorching magic into it when his fingertips sparked.

"John, can you hear me?"

The young man asked.

"This thing... isn't for you... to cross-world... communication!"

After a few seconds, Constantine's intermittent voice came from it. He said:

"Bring your tattoo... closer."

Mason leaned his left arm against his collar, and Constantine's voice suddenly became smooth. He said:

"I'm studying this strange curse thing. It should have more uses, such as long-distance magic communication. What's up? I'm busy feeding the 'Rainbow Pony' you guys left here. If no one wants it, I'll give it to Zatanna. This little bastard just chewed up my magic book!""Wow, your lapel pin can speak."

Dr. Harley was startled, and her scream instantly made John "energized". This unscrupulous guy whistled and said:

"Oh, Mason, there's a girl next to you? It's almost evening now, isn't it? This is an ambiguous time. Are you two in bed? Did I disturb you?

Did you contact me because the little bird didn't know how to proceed to the next step?

It's okay, let Brother John teach you.

First, lick your fingers, then put them in..."

"Shut up, John!"

Mason scolded, showing a apologetic smile to the blushing Dr. Harley, and whispered:

"Check the condition of this lady in front of me, John. I suspect she has been hypnotized, and there are obvious traces of dullness in her pupils. But strangely, her actions and thoughts are not affected."

"Didn't the strange badge on your neck vibrate?"

Scum Kang asked, Mason denied it, and then heard the impatient Black Mage say:

"Then it has nothing to do with magic! It should be the long-term effect of the mental guidance of a high-level hypnotist or some drugs that can affect the mind. The biggest possibility is that she took too many drugs.

Anyway, give her a tonic!

A strong stimulus with five times the dosage should be enough to break this hypnosis.

Don't bother me with these trivial matters next time. Of course, if you have a conscience, remember to open your eyes and let me see the "live broadcast" next time you are with the girl.

That's it.

My magic is only 98% left.

Talk next time."

The eyeball of the Hell's Eye on Mason's collar closed strangely.

This bizarre scene widened the eyes of Dr. Harley, who was just an ordinary person. She was curious and wanted to ask Mason, but when she thought that the young man in front of her was an alchemist, everything seemed to make sense.

But she didn't agree with the fact that she was hypnotized. She put on her golden wire glasses and refuted in a very academic tone:

"I have a Ph.D. in psychology, Mason. I can confirm whether I was hypnotized or not. Your suspicion is unfounded!"

"Is it?"

Mason sneered, and slammed five bottles of tonic on the counter, saying to Harley Quinzel:

"Then drink them all to prove it. The potion you want me to make needs to be made now, and it takes a few hours. You can help me watch the store.

Don't disturb me in the basement."

After speaking, the young man rolled up his sleeves, took his suitcase, and walked towards the basement, slamming the door.

Dr. Harley, who was left in the store, looked at the five bottles of tonic in front of her, hesitated for a moment, but since she had confirmed that Mason's potion had no side effects last night, she was idle anyway.

She walked into the counter and pretended to be the owner of the small store, then twisted the cork and poured a mouthful into her mouth.

Tonic is a potion specially used to boost the spirit. Its effect is more single but much stronger than the vitality potion that restores vitality. This potion with a strong mint flavor made Dr. Harley Quinzel feel like she had swallowed a mental bomb. The feeling of stimulating the spirit rushed to the sky, making her shiver several times before reacting.

"Comfortable!"

The female doctor grinned and felt full of energy now, and all the exhaustion was swept away, even her brain seemed to be much clearer.

She glanced at the remaining four bottles of potion, and then reached for the second one.Three hours later, when Mason walked out of the basement with a small box of newly made potions, he saw Harley Quinzel lying behind the counter, staring blankly at the ceiling with her shoes kicked off and curled up like a "broken toy."

The empty bottles of the five stimulating potions were thrown at her feet, and her delicate gold wire glasses were thrown on the counter. Her originally neat hair was scattered and hung on her shoulders.

"What happened to you?" Mason asked.

Harley didn't speak but curled up even tighter.

After a few seconds, she buried her head in her arms and said, "I was really hypnotized, oh my god... I was hypnotized by Mr. J and didn't even realize it... That villain has been tempting me to think in his crazy way, trying to turn me into a crazy person like him... I'm such a fool.

Avi kept reminding me, even Mudface kept reminding me, but I was completely unaware.

I almost couldn't turn back.

I naively thought it was just because I was tired lately, so I liked to think about things randomly. I thought that the barbaric thoughts that occasionally burst out of my heart, wanting to smash something, were just due to stress.

No!

It's not...

He's transforming me!

That villain is using his ideas to transform me!"

"But now you're awake, you've escaped from a madman's dark prison, and you've truly realized how dangerous your patient is. Maybe this can make you more rational when choosing your career goals in the future," Mason shrugged and put the box filled with potions in front of Harley, saying, "These potions should be enough for your patients to use for a week. I hope you can help me record their effectiveness and how they work in different situations. If you trust me, I have more magical potions that I can give to your patients."

"Why do you want to help them?" Harley's emotions were a bit unstable at this moment, and she stared at Mason with her big, red eyes and asked, "You know they're all serious criminals! They're not good people!"

"I think your definition of 'help' is a bit off. I'm using them as a drug experiment now, Harley," Mason replied quietly, blocking all of Harley's questions with one sentence.

"You're a professional psychiatrist, Zhou Kuo'er couldn't have just used language to hypnotize you, he must have used some drugs that can interfere with your mental thoughts," the young man looked at Harley's current state and rubbed his chin, saying, "I'm very interested in those drugs. Can I go to your workplace and take a look? Maybe you need a private consultant? Someone who doesn't work but provides medical advice and special treatments."

Harley immediately understood Mason's meaning and rubbed her head, saying, "You're the first person who wants to be an assistant at Arkham Asylum, but maybe I do need an alchemist friend to protect me, so that this kind of thing doesn't happen again. I still have to deal with Mr. J in the future. Without your help, I dare not get close to him again, but Mason, I don't have that much money to pay you a salary."

"It's okay, let's call it a public service," the young man smiled.Mason reached out and pulled up Dr. Harley Quinzel, who might not become "Harley Quinn" again in her lifetime. Harley looked at Mason's sunny and gentle smile and fell silent for a moment.

The young man in front of her, who was ten years younger than her, formed a sharp contrast with the devilish, grinning Mr. J in her heart.

She whispered a thank you and went to the bathroom to clean up her face.

A few minutes later, the two of them rode in Harley's car towards the outskirts of the city, where the world-famous asylum was located. When they arrived at this gloomy place, Mason got out of the car and called the Kite Man.

"Don't wait, tonight at midnight, let's gather when I'm done with my work."

Mason complained on the phone:

"Those bastards who attacked Batman never showed up, and he's almost recovered, but they still haven't appeared. I guess they're going to abandon this destruction mission.

We can't count on the League of Assassins to cause chaos and let us fish in troubled waters.

We'll take action tonight!

Go to Wayne Industries' medical warehouse and steal the vaccine. Catwoman will keep Batman occupied and create enough time and opportunities for us."

"Alright, boss, I'll get ready now."

Kite Man confidently replied, then asked:

"But you seem to be very busy now? Where are you, boss? Do you want me to pick you up?"

"I'm sightseeing at Arkham Asylum."

Mason followed Dr. Harley into the dark building before them, saying:

"I just snatched back a lost soul from Mr. Zhou Kuo'er, and I feel very accomplished. Now I'm going to have a chat with your former boss.

Charles, do you want me to pass on a message to him?"

"Just let that perverted lunatic die."

Kite Man said with disgust:

"I don't want anything to do with him in my life. Be careful, boss, Zhou Kuo'er is a real madman. If he smiles at you, it means he's going to do something bad to you.

Don't argue with him, just shoot him right away!

Don't miss.

Trust me, the whole world will thank you for it."
