Yang Han reluctantly loosened his grip on Natasha's voluptuous figure.
"Wow, that felt pretty good."
"We just received an urgent notification from the U.S. military, Colonel Rhodey. Mr. Tony Stark was attacked by terrorists while leaving Afghanistan and is currently missing," the news broadcasted on a TV being sold on the street.
"Wow, that's not good news," Natasha sighed as she saw the news, rubbing her forehead. Who is Tony Stark?
A great inventor, a founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the son of Howard Stark. The implications are huge. Natasha now knew her vacation was over.
After all, with Tony Stark being attacked by terrorists, regardless of his fate, S.H.I.E.L.D. would definitely take action to search for Tony Stark, and inevitably engage in a firefight with the terrorists.
Seeing the news of Tony being attacked by terrorists, Natasha was already prepared to head to the Middle East to rescue Tony.
"Natasha, sorry to interrupt your vacation again. I believe you’ve seen the news? Tony Stark encountered a terrorist attack in the Middle East. Tony's father, Howard, was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D. We owe it to him to rescue Tony Stark," Nick Fury contacted Natasha again.
Natasha was a bit helpless. Why is there always so much trouble during a vacation?
First, it was capturing someone thought to be a metahuman, Johnson, which ended up with her becoming Yang Han's host. Now, Tony Stark was attacked by terrorists. It's really... frustrating. Her vacation was completely ruined, and Natasha didn't expect Nick Fury to compensate her for it.
"Alright, tell me the rendezvous point," Natasha replied.
"Take a cab to the airport. The situation is urgent, so we’ll fly you there," Nick Fury said before cutting off the call.
"Sigh, this vacation is a bust," Natasha said, feeling a bit down.
The Middle East is a troublesome place, and finding someone there is extremely difficult.
Most of the time would probably be spent just searching for him.
"It's not too bad. With my help, you should be able to resolve this quickly," Yang Han chimed in.
"You’re good at finding people too?" Natasha asked, surprised.
"Of course, symbiotes can't survive alone for long, so they must find a host within a certain time, or they'll die. To adapt, symbiotes learned how to quickly locate living beings," Yang Han casually made up an explanation.
It was just an excuse for knowing where Tony was held, thanks to his familiarity with the plot. Although Venom does have this ability, it's quite weak.
After all, on the planet where the Venom Symbiote originates, symbiotes can survive on their own without attaching to others.
"Suddenly, I realize you have quite a few abilities," Natasha remarked, not wasting any time as she hailed a cab to New York Airport.
As for the fare, S.H.I.E.L.D. would surely cover it.
Going on a mission and paying out of pocket? They’re not afraid of agents defecting to Hydra, are they?!
Soon, Natasha got out of the cab, where someone was already waiting at the airport.
It was Coulson, Nick's most trusted subordinate.
"Sorry to interrupt your vacation, Ms. Natasha, but Tony Stark being attacked by terrorists is a serious matter. We need you to find Tony," Coulson said solemnly.
"Of course, I just hope Director Fury can compensate for my vacation. I’ve been on two missions during my time off, that should count as overtime," Natasha joked.
"Of course, I’m sure Director Fury won’t be stingy," Coulson smiled.
The two hurriedly headed into the airport, where a high-tech plane was parked. Inside the cabin were several agents, clearly showing how seriously Nick Fury took this matter.
Among the agents was someone Natasha knew well.
Agent Hawkeye, Barton.
Nick Fury’s most loyal subordinate.
"Barton, you’re here too? Looks like Director Fury takes this playboy search mission seriously," Natasha said, surprised.
She thought she was the only high-level agent involved, but Nick Fury had also sent Hawkeye Barton.
She wasn't particularly fond of playboy Tony Stark. After all, most women don't like playboys, though some do like his money.
Tony knew this too, so it was a matter of money for some, and something else for others.
"No choice, you know how important Tony is," Barton said, a bit helpless.
This mission was time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly, but Tony Stark's significance to the United States and S.H.I.E.L.D. was immense.
His weapons development kept the United States ahead of the world, serving as a strategic resource. But the U.S. couldn't let Tony work for others or develop weapons for them.
Moreover, Tony's father was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D., so it was only right for S.H.I.E.L.D. to look after Tony Stark.
So, sending two experienced top agents on this mission seemed perfectly normal.
"I plan to act alone," Natasha said, nodding.
"Act alone? That's dangerous. Director Fury told us to just find Tony's whereabouts and let the military handle it," Hawkeye Barton frowned.
That’s also why, after Tony escaped from the terrorists, the military quickly came to pick him up.
"I have my plans," Natasha said calmly.
She wanted to test her strength, see how powerful she really was. The protection of the Venom Suit made her unafraid of bullets, and the power Yang Han gave her had never been fully unleashed.
Now, these terrorists were a perfect testing ground, a way to vent her recent frustration.
Hawkeye, hearing this, didn’t say more. As an agent, he knew what to know and what not to know.
Digging too deep wasn’t an agent’s trait.
Flying from the United States to the Middle East, even with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s advanced technology, still took seven to eight hours, not to mention adjusting to the time difference.
However, as agents, they were professionally trained, so adjusting to the time difference was easy. A short rest was enough to reset.
Yang Han remained silent within Natasha, as there were quite a few people around, at least over twenty. With so many eyes, it wouldn’t be fun if he got discovered.
Time passed quickly during sleep, and seven hours later, the plane began to descend.
They had arrived at the U.S. military base in the Middle East.
Soon, they would begin their search operations.
