Chapter 24 – Absorb Mana, and have your wishes fulfilled!

The newcomer was none other than the Warrior, Carlos.

Even though their teammates had fallen, they couldn't just leave the money unearned.

With their level 20 strength, they could make a huge profit this time.

They could definitely earn enough for their teammates' compensation.

They were originally hunting Goblins when they suddenly heard a loud crash and hurried over.

To their surprise, it was a One-eyed Troll and a Whirlwind Vulture.

Carlos, filled with pent-up anger, charged forward with a roar.

If they could take down these two creatures, they might get a magic crystal!

Compared to Goblin ears, magic crystals were the real treasure.

Just one could sell for a fortune, worth more than all the Goblins in the Kela Great Forest combined.

The Whirlwind Vulture was struck on the wing by a Cross Slash, letting out a miserable cry as it plummeted from the sky.

"Holy crap, that's intense!"

"Everyone, charge! Take them down!"

The Adventurers rushed forward, engaging in a fierce battle with the two Demonic Beasts.

Even though the Whirlwind Vulture's wing was injured, it still fought fiercely.

After landing, it shot out two whirlwinds again, preventing the Adventurers from getting close.

"Swish, swish, swish..."

Camia silently appeared beside the Whirlwind Vulture, her dagger raining down on it like raindrops.

After landing a hit, she quickly disappeared.

The Whirlwind Vulture couldn't find its attacker and could only vent its anger on the other Adventurers.

Meanwhile, Chen Yao was jogging away after taking down those four Adventurers.

This place was truly dangerous.

The Adventurers had gone mad, and if they caught him, he was as good as dead.

In his panic, he rounded a large tree and suddenly saw a figure ahead.

Startled, he let out a cry and tried to stop.

But it was too late.

"Bang!"

They collided hard.

"Ouch!"

With a cry, Chen Yao and the person rolled far away together.

Then, suddenly feeling nothing beneath him, they fell into a deep ditch.

"Thud, thud, thud!"

His body slammed against the rock walls, causing Chen Yao immense pain, with two large bumps on his head.

For a moment, the world spun around him.

"Boom!"

With a loud crash, they finally hit the ground, landing painfully.

"Oh my..."

Chen Yao groaned in pain, struggling to sit up.

Then he pressed down on something soft, and was instantly stunned.

"This is..."

Chen Yao looked down in shock, finding himself straddling a green-haired young girl.

She was also bruised and battered from the fall.

Her hat was gone, her robe was in tatters, and her tight pants had several tears.

"Holy crap..."

Chen Yao was completely dumbfounded.

It wasn't that he was captivated by her beauty.

Bruised and swollen, what beauty could there be?

What shocked him was the refreshing energy flowing into his body through his palm.

But instead of heading to his dantian, it rushed straight to his head.

"This is... magic?!"

Chen Yao was stunned, instinctively sensing the energy, oblivious to the girl waking up.

The girl slowly opened her eyes, feeling intense pain all over.

Suddenly, she felt something straddling her, with a hand in an inappropriate place.

She focused her gaze.

Seeing an ugly Goblin on her, she let out a cry and pushed Chen Yao off.

Then she searched for her staff, but couldn't find it after a long search.

In desperation, she reached behind and pulled out a defensive dagger.

She stared at Chen Yao expressionlessly.

Chen Yao also stood up, looking the girl up and down.

Her clothes were disheveled, her hair a mess, but her expression was strange.

She hadn't changed her expression once.

Could she be the legendary expressionless girl?

This person was none other than the Healing Mage, Tilimus.

She had been hunting Goblins with her teammates when she heard the commotion and ran over.

As a Mage, she naturally fell behind, and then collided head-on with the fleeing Chen Yao.

They fell into the ditch, ending up in their current state.

"Healing!"

Feeling the pain in her body and seeing the Goblin not making any further moves, Tilimus decisively used healing magic.

A simple magical aura appeared in her palm, which she pressed onto herself.

As the light flickered, her wounds quickly healed.

The pain in her body rapidly disappeared.

"This is... healing magic?"

Chen Yao was dumbfounded, then overjoyed.

If he could capture this girl and practice dual cultivation for a few days, could he also gain magic?

The refreshing energy earlier must have been mana, and it seemed his physique was quite strong.

He could absorb both Fighting Spirit and mana!

"Hehehe, girl, don't struggle. You're just a Healing Mage, no match for me!"

Chen Yao chuckled sinisterly.

"You're just a Goblin, take this!"

Tilimus remained expressionless. Though she was a Healing Mage, she wasn't completely defenseless.

Her delicate lips quickly chanted a spell, and a magical aura appeared in her hand.

"Purify!"

The magical aura released green light, shooting rapidly toward Chen Yao.

Chen Yao's mind stirred, and he instantly activated Shadow Step.

In a flash, he dodged the magical attack.

Though he didn't know what harm the Purify spell could do to him, he couldn't just stand there and take it.

"What?"

Tilimus's expression changed drastically, and then her abdomen was struck hard by a kick.

"Thud!"

"Ah!"

Tilimus cried out, her body flying and crashing heavily against the rock wall.

"Healing!"

She tried to cast magic again, but suddenly felt a chill on her neck.

A sharp dagger was already pressed against her throat.

Tilimus remained expressionless but quickly tried to break free.

Even if she were to die, she didn't want to fall into a Goblin's hands.

But in the next moment, the Goblin punched her in the head.

Tilimus let out a muffled groan, instantly dizzy and losing the ability to resist.

Normally, Goblins wouldn't have such strength.

But Chen Yao possessed Fighting Spirit and had already reached level 15.

When using skills, the Fighting Spirit nourished his cells, enhancing his physique.

So this punch was very heavy, knocking out a fragile Mage was no problem.

"It's over..."

Tilimus cried out in her heart. She was a magical prodigy.

At such a young age, she had already reached level 20, but today she was going to be defiled by a Goblin?

Oh heavens!

Goddess of Life, please save me.

Tilimus prayed sincerely to her goddess, but it was of no use.

Just when she thought she was about to be defiled by the Goblin, she suddenly felt waves of mana merging into her body.

Instantly, she felt revitalized.

What was happening?

Had the Goddess of Life manifested?

Tilimus suddenly opened her eyes, seeing the ugly Goblin holding her wrist.

Pure mana was flowing from him into her body.

"This... how is this possible?"

"It... it's actually a Magician?!"

Tilimus was beyond shocked, her expressionless face finally showing a reaction.

Her small mouth opened in astonishment.

Chen Yao had no time to care about her, as he was frantically absorbing mana.

He also absorbed two Light Orbs from Tilimus's body.

They were basic healing spells: Healing and Recovery.

Both spells were supportive, with no offensive power.

They were mainly used to assist teammates in battle.

Healing could quickly treat internal and external injuries.

Recovery could restore teammates' stamina and Fighting Spirit.

Chen Yao was both surprised and delighted.

With these two spells, he would no longer fear getting injured.

This was fantastic!
