Chapter 11 – Come to the demon, not good, surrounded

Mo Fan was momentarily shocked, but then a hint of murderous intent flashed in his eyes. Judging by the direction that demon was heading, it was likely a minor demon from Black Wind Mountain.

Now that enmity had been formed, if it really went back to the mountain to spread rumors, it might bring trouble.

Thinking of this, he nocked another arrow on his large bow, aiming directly at the Bird Demon.

After a moment, Mo Fan put down the bow and arrow.

"Forget it, the Bird Demon has already flown far away. With the power of this bow, it might be difficult to shoot it down, and it would only confirm my intent to kill, inviting disaster..."

Mo Fan muttered to himself, his eyes flickering. Finally, he opened his mouth and used the Devour the Heavens Divine Ability to store the bow and arrow into his inner space.

"Lord Toad, aren't we going to run? That Bird Demon is clearly going to get reinforcements, what should we do?!"

The Rabbit Demon was anxious at this moment. Though it was silly and cute, it wasn't truly stupid. It knew that the Bird Demon was likely a demon from Black Wind Mountain.

"What else can we do? Just chill!"

Mo Fan rolled his eyes, flipped over, and mounted Erha's tiger back, saying calmly, "We're here to seek refuge at Black Wind Mountain. That was just a misunderstanding. If the leader of the demons here is reasonable, they shouldn't do anything to us."

"But what if the leader isn't reasonable?" the Rabbit Demon asked.

"This..." Mo Fan hesitated, then impatiently waved his hand, "We'll deal with it when the time comes!"

He had finally gotten such an opportunity and wasn't willing to give it up easily.

Mo Fan had already thought it through. If they really pursued the matter, he would compensate them with those milky white stones.

The Old Hunter said they were celestial items, so they must be valuable. The question was whether the demons here recognized their worth.

Danger and opportunity coexist, and Mo Fan had already adopted a gambler's mindset. He had barely managed to transform from a toad into a demon and found this Demon Mountain, so he wasn't willing to let it go.

Moreover, if there really was a formidable demon in Black Wind Mountain who wanted to pursue him, could he really escape now?

Knowing there are tigers on the mountain, he still heads for the tiger's den, just to gamble on a future!

If he won the gamble, he could live a comfortable demon life, and maybe even become a Demon King someday. Wouldn't that be wonderful?

As for losing the gamble, Mo Fan hadn't considered it. At worst, he'd start over!

With this determination, he headed resolutely towards Black Wind Mountain.

"Rabbit, if you're afraid of dying, leave now, so you won't be a burden later," Mo Fan said to the Rabbit Demon.

"If Lord Toad isn't afraid, then neither am I!"

"Lord Toad, you saved me before. How could I abandon you and run away?" the Rabbit Demon said sincerely.

"Good for you!"

Mo Fan was a bit pleased to hear this. He didn't expect the Rabbit Demon to be so loyal.

"Besides, that Bird Demon was injured by you, Lord Toad. What does it have to do with me?" the Rabbit Demon added.

"You little...!"

Mo Fan was infuriated by this. It turned out the Rabbit Demon wasn't loyal; it was just heartless!

"Lord Toad, what does 'you little...' mean?" the Rabbit Demon asked, puzzled.

"'You little...' means... well, it just means 'you little...!'"

"But I still don't quite understand. Can you explain it more clearly?"

"It means you're good."

Mo Fan reluctantly made up an explanation, starting to find this chatty, silly Rabbit Demon a bit annoying.

"So 'you little...' means you're good?"

"Lord Toad, you little...!"

The Rabbit Demon said innocently, with a harmless smile on its face.

"Damn it..."

Mo Fan was speechless. He hadn't expected his casual words to backfire on him.

As the two demons and the tiger reached the foot of Black Wind Mountain, the white Bird Demon returned.

Knowing Mo Fan had a bow and arrow, the Bird Demon didn't dare approach, instead circling above and shouting, "You damn Wild Demon, not only did you despicably injure me, but you also dare come to our Black Wind Mountain. You're courting death!"

"Brothers, capture this toad!"

"That tiger and Rabbit Demon are accomplices too. Don't let them go. Capture them and hand them over to Lord Demon Officer for a great reward!"

At the Bird Demon's command, several figures rushed toward Mo Fan and his companions from the direction of Black Wind Mountain.

Mo Fan was slightly alarmed at the sight. He saw several minor demons with many human features.

Leading them was a sinister-looking young man with narrow eyes and blue marks on his cheeks, resembling tattoos.

Below his human head was not a beast's body but a human torso, muscular and well-defined, covered in blue fur. His large hands were strong, and his legs retained a beastly shape, slightly bent backward, resembling an incomplete werewolf.

Beside the Wolf Demon was a beady-eyed, rat-faced demon with a human head and hands. Its prominent whiskers and long tail made its true form obvious.

Next to the Rat Demon was a slender demon with triangular eyes.

Unlike the Wolf and Rat Demons, this demon had only transformed its head into a human's, with no limbs below, just a thick snake body, the largest among the demons, about ten meters long, slithering with a chilling sound.

"Roar!"

Seeing these demons approaching with ill intent, Erha let out a tiger roar, causing the demons' ears to buzz.

"A mere tiger dares to act arrogant in front of us? Perfect, we'll capture it for a feast!"

The Wolf Demon sneered, growling lowly. Its already robust body grew even larger.

In an instant, its towering form reached nearly ten meters, like a small giant.

Even Mo Fan was stunned, not expecting the Wolf Demon to be so terrifying. He slapped Erha on the head, angrily saying, "What are you waiting for? Run! Do you really want to end up as a meal?!"

Hearing this, Erha turned and ran!

"Where do you think you're going, toad?!"

The Wolf Demon roared in anger, giving chase. Its legs powered up, launching its body like an arrow!

"Heh, trying to run in front of me, Mountain Rat?"

"Rattlesnake, get on!"

The Rat Demon sneered, and the Snake Demon shrank, coiling around the Rat Demon.

In the next moment, the Rat Demon dove into the ground, disappearing with the Snake Demon in a cloud of dust, leaving a large hole behind.

The ground bulged, moving rapidly toward the fleeing tiger.

Boom!

The earth exploded, and a massive tail emerged from the pit, whipping Erha.

"Ow—"

Erha yelped in pain, stumbling from the blow, nearly falling.

"Oh no, we're surrounded!!"

"We're doomed, doomed, we're dead!!"

The Rabbit Demon bounced on the tiger's back, its beautiful face filled with terror.

Mo Fan's heart sank.

With the Wolf Demon behind, the Snake Demon ahead, the Bird Demon above, and the Rat Demon below, they were truly trapped.

After witnessing the demons' abilities, Mo Fan abandoned any thought of fighting.

It wasn't a fight; it was suicide!

So he immediately chose to surrender, awkwardly smiling at the demons, "Fellow demon brothers, it's a misunderstanding, definitely a misunderstanding!"

"We came to join Black Wind Mountain's Demon King. We might be comrades in the future, so there's no need for a life-and-death struggle, right?"
