Vol.2 - Chapter 6 – People carrying their fate

Serede, the underground library of the Black Night Church.

Mourinho held two letters in his hand, a smile forming at the corner of his mouth.

Just as Lilith's messenger, Oak, left, Melin Alyssa arrived with another letter.

"The kid does have a conscience. He even mentioned the Bloodstone, a treasure."

Mourinho, with his eye patch still on, carefully read the letter from beginning to end.

"A trip that lasted seven days and caused so much trouble. It was quite thrilling... Ackman Hoynes, that old fox. The Steam Church is quite ambitious, making their move early."

Under the oil lamp, Mourinho tapped his slender fingers on the table, a thoughtful expression on his face.

Then, he smiled towards a dark corner and whispered:

"Check on Wilkin Edmonton Snow. He used to be the sixth general in the navy. If I remember correctly, that guy should be a member of the military."

In the darkness, a figure suddenly disappeared.

Mourinho murmured:

"Should I let Su Li cultivate his own power?"

"The goddess seems to really like my disciple. Unfortunately, whether it's the one inside him or Su Li himself, their fate has already been written. The divine war may begin, and he can have fun until then. I hope he has grown up by the time that day comes."

With that in mind, the first angel under the Black Night Goddess's seat personally wrote:

"Dear disciple, although Joan of Arc and Simon have become extraordinary individuals."

"I don't want to interfere too much with the fate of each person in the real world. Since you have decided to help them, you will bear the weight of their fate."

"I can tell you for certain that Wilkin Edmonton Snow is a prominent figure in the military and is definitely an extraordinary individual. And behind him, there are the shadows of the Steam Church and the Storm Church."

"Joan of Arc and Simon must be protected by the two churches, and the condition is probably to live out their ordinary lives."

"This involves secrecy, and the Black Night Church will definitely not recruit them. Based on my deduction, other churches will also turn a blind eye to their fate, and it is up to you to decide what happens to them."

"Although you are currently only Sequence 8, your achievements will not stop here. You may even surpass me, your teacher. If one day, and I say if, you choose to leave the church, I will still be your teacher. Let go and accept them."

This inexplicable paragraph was written without a clear beginning or end.

Mourinho, with his star-like radiant eyes, seemed to foresee something.

The first person under the former seat of the goddess sighed lightly and lazily stretched, snapping his fingers to summon the messenger miss.

Without giving her a single penny.

Melin Alyssa walked out of the spirit world with a dark face.

Mourinho, being stingy, said:

Find the original at "pawread dot com".

"Give the letter to my disciple. As for the delivery fee, ask him for it."

Melin Alyssa had no way to deal with this stingy man. She snorted and took the letter, stepping into the void.

...

After paying a gold coin.

Su Li silently sent away the messenger miss, gaining a further understanding of his teacher's stinginess.

He carefully read the letter in his hand.

He felt even more confused.

What does it mean to bear the weight of fate?

What does it mean to leave the Black Night Church?

"Is my teacher encouraging me to be a henchman?"

Su Li rubbed his nose, feeling speechless about the eccentricity of this ground-walking follower of the goddess.

He was a little annoyed.

Ackman Hoynes was like this.

His cheap teacher was also like this.

Is being an angel so great?

Is being able to glimpse fate so great?

Holding the letter, Su Li sighed after a moment of silence.

To some extent, Mourinho's will should be the will of the Black Night Goddess.

The goddess should be acquainted with Aobei.

He didn't want to ponder about the matters between gods. As an extraordinary person, Su Li only cared about the people around him.

"Joan of Arc and Simon are so pitiful. Their thoughts are too dangerous. Without a guide, they are likely to go astray and become members of a cult."

Thinking about Joan of Arc's repeated mention of serving, Su Li closed his eyes. He laughed at himself.

"Since my teacher openly expressed support in the letter, as a guy who is half lying in a coffin, I shouldn't be afraid to take on the role of a cult leader."

"That's settled then. I will recruit Joan of Arc and Simon and establish an organization."

Su Li scratched his head, struggling to come up with a code name.

Not to mention thinking of a name for the organization.

"What should I name it?"

"I am currently a member of the Black Night Church and possess the complete sequence of the Dragon Path. How about taking one word from each?"

"The Giant Black Church?"

"The Night Dragon Society?"

"..."

Su Li was speechless. No matter how he listened, they didn't sound imposing. They sounded more like the names of nightclubs. (Naming is truly a tragic task.)

"Since Aobei wants to take over my body, I will establish an organization and deliberately exclude the word 'dragon'."

"Otherwise, let's go with Black Tears."

Let that damn parasitic dragon cry in the darkness for the rest of its life.

Su Li thought with a wicked sense of humor.

Although he thought that way, Su Li instinctively ruled out this name. He was afraid that one day, in the darkness, it would be him crying, not Aobei. That would be ironic.

Outside the window, the bright moon hung high.

The bright moonlight shone on the bedside, and Su Li couldn't help but miss his distant hometown.

He sighed, wondering how his family in the distant sky was doing.

Being alone in a foreign land, Su Li remembered the last time he had dinner with his family. His sister pointed to the newspaper and smiled, saying:

"Our country is still rich in heritage. This Bronze Divine Tree is really handsome."Su Li murmured to himself, a faint smile curling up at the corner of his mouth, "The highest in the world is the Fusang tree with no branches, reaching up to the sky, winding and bending down, connecting to the three springs."

The night, it's everyone's night. I'll be the dwelling of the sun, keeping all the sunsets to myself. This can also be considered as not forgetting the kindness of the goddess and the Church of the Night.

"The name of the organization, I've thought about it, let's call it the Bronze Tree."

Su Li vaguely remembered that there was a dragon under the Bronze Tree. He hoped that this dragon would be Ao Mie.

Under the moonlit night.

No one knew that the future famous organization 'Bronze Tree' was almost named the 'Giant Black Church'...

And the boss of this mysterious organization still had a little secret plan in his heart.

That was to use the Bronze Tree to suppress a dragon.

A dragon that stood at the top of the sequence, overlooking all beings.

Planning for the future, Su Li's mouth curled up in a smile, and he fell asleep contentedly.

This night, Su Li, who had never planned to be a lackey, inexplicably became the leader of a cult due to a letter from his teacher and his concern for his friends.

And this small, low-ranking organization with only three members, with a strange name, was neither as infamous as the True Spirit Society nor as terrifying as the Hidden World Society at dusk.

The name of the organization was - Bronze Tree.
